Hi there,

Firstly, start TruckersMP, then press the cog button in the player list, or press the cog icon in upper left corner on the login screen, select the "Sound" tab, then check the "Speaker device" - change it to "Default", then press "Apply". After that, press the "Start test" on the same tab. You should hear yourself as you speak during the test.

Also try these:

Make sure that the correct device is selected in Steam> Settings> Communication> Voice recorder, then test the microphone from the same place.

  • Open the game. On the desktop, right click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the following launch bar and come to the "Recording Devices" section. Make only one selected.
  • Press "TAB" key in the game and try to make Voice Chat settings from Settings
  • Steam > Settings > Contact > Sound Recorder make sure that the correct device is selected here.
  • Try to uninstall the drivers sound (Realtek) remove.  Download and install again
  • Try turning up the volume. Go Tab > Settings > Sounds a have a play with the sound levels
  • "My Documents-ETS2MP" can you delete the folder and try again
  • Run the multiplayer mod as admin
  • And read this topics:

Hello, If you are using a sound card, please update your sound card. If you're not using a sound card, update your motherboard's Realtek HD Audio driver and try this solutions:

https://www.realtek.com/en/downloads

*Restart the computer after installation.

1. Right click the volume icon on your taskbar:  http://prntscr.com/lr5rjc

2. Click sounds and then go to the playback tab http://prntscr.com/lr5qoj

3. Right click speakers / the green ticked device and select properties: http://prntscr.com/lr5qfq

4. Go to the advanced tab. Then ensure the following settings in the image are set. Afterwards, press restore defaults. http://prntscr.com/lr5q12

5. Restart TruckersMP.

6. If this fails to work: a reinstall of your audio drivers would also eliminate another possible solution.

Also, please try this step if the above step does not work.

My Documents > ETS2MP > config.txt Replace the settings with these values. (If this step does not work, delete the config.txt file)

"sounds" : {
"engine" : true,
"gearbox" : true,
"horn" : true,
"lift_axle" : true,
"master_volume" : 97,
"mic_device" : "Default",
"mic_volume" : 90,
"music_volume" : 97,
"reversing" : true,
"sound_effects" : true,
"sound_effects_volume" : 97,
"speaker_device" : "Default",
"voice_volume" : 100
}

Kind Regards,

mexiumut

I've tried everything but nothing is working... very strange tho

Did you try to change your microphone device in the TAB settings? That may solve the problem. If there is not only 1 device, then test all of them.
