Safe way to move between servers

G' day

 

I tried to search in this forum about safest ways to between servers when playing multiplayer and log out once finish playing as i have encountered frozen screen and crash report.

Hey @Maka_paka,

 

if I understood you right, you are getting an error if you close the game? Be sure that you're launch Steam & TruckersMP always with administrator rights.

If so, can you please provide some more information about this error and send us a screenshot of the error message

The way to fix this is:

Step 1. 
Right click your 'Euro Truck Simulator 2 Multiplayer' / 'American Truck Simulators Multiplayer' .exe file, whether it be the shortcut on the desktop or actual file and then click properties.

Step 2.
If you right clicked it's shortcut, make sure you clicked the shortcut tab.
If you clicked the .exe file, make sure you are on the general tab.
You should see a section say: (   Target: "C:\Program Files\TruckersMP\launcher_ets2mp.exe"   ) OR it's custom install path. (Minus the brackets)
What you need to do is on the end of it, add: (   -homedir C:\Users\Michael\Documents\ETS2MP   ) 
It should look something like: (   Target: "C:\Program Files\TruckersMP\launcher_ets2mp.exe" -homedir C:\Users\Michael\Documents\ETS2MP ) If you understand what the -homedir fuction does, feel welcome to change it, if you are worried or don't know what to do, just leave it as it is. Normally i just double clicked the mp exe file. Tomorrow will try to run as admin and also follow above suggestions.

 

Then i will ask next question about moving between servers.

If you are connected to one server and you want to move onto another server: Close the game complete, start TruckersMP again & choose another server to play.

That's it for now but i will try both suggestions of frozen screen when log out by changing profiles. Please close this tread yet
