Hello,

Please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your GPU driver is up to date
  2. Steam > Library > Right click on the ETS2 > Properties > Local files > verify the integrity of the game cache.
  3. My  Documents > Euro Truck Simulator 2 > Delete the '' Config. Cfg '' file and then open a new profile.

and if nothing works, you can change your tag's color manually:

  1. Go to your Documents
  2. Open your ETS2MP or ATSMP folder
  3. Open the config.txt file
  4. Search for something called " "tag_color" ", which has some numbers behind it.
  5. Those numbers behind this "tag_color" is the Decimal code of a color. If you want to get your own color from somewhere, ask for the color code. This can be something like "#78909C", which is the color of the Community Moderators here on the forum.
  6. If you have this color code, use the following website to change your Hexidecimal code to a Decimal code: https://www.mathsisfun.com/hexadecimal-decimal-colors.html
  7. The example color I used, is the following in Decimal code: "7901340"
  8. Use this code to replace whatever is placed behind "tag_color" in your config file.

Hello,

Please follow this steps:

  • Press the Windows Key+R (Win+R) on your keyboard
  • Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)
  • Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.
  • Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"
  • Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges https://truckersmp.com/download/
  • Open The Launcher with admin privileges and click "Install Available Updates"

Step 2:

  • In order to verify your game cache, go to your 'Library' and find 'Euro Truck Simulator 2'.
  • Once you find it, 'Right Click' and go to the 'Properties ' tab.
  • This will open up the properties tab. Go to the third sub-tab that says 'Local Files' where you will be presented with the following options.
  • Click on the last option to begin the validation process. This might take a few minutes.
  • Once all the files are validated, if any corrupt instances are found, then Steam will redownload those particular files for you. If not you will be greeted with a box that says no errors.
  • You have verified your game cache successfully.

With all respect,

Do you have a screenshot of the error message? Can you provide the game log? There could be clues to what exactly might be causing the crash.

Also make sure you have latest .NET Framework (or later), DirectX, and Microsoft Visual C++ 2015. You can check this guide too.

You can also use CCleaner to clean files and registry errors.
