Hot topic #16: One truck family event

I'm really happy to see so many events by SCS & World of Trucks but to be honest, I always want them to make better prizes as I don't really have a motivation to do that jobs. This time there's just a racing paint job which I really don't like and some accessories for the interior which are also pretty simple and just because of all this I don't want to waste my time on doing this event. These events are good for TruckersMP since they allow players to drive on the whole map, not only on Calais - Duisburg route, so maybe drivers will enjoy some views there and will stop driving only on C-D.

It's chaos in multiplayer but EU3 server kinda helps a bit. Usually when I get to the city I jump into singleplayer but I have finished a few jobs only using multiplayer too.

Yes we need another popular route CD road is getting boring. I would love to have one in the new germany since it looks really nice.

I really had; dread, fear, in trying to deliver in multiplayer in the beginning. I made a delivery out of curiosity, crossing Paris (France).

PARIS - I was almost able to get out of the city, my final destination was Germany.

My Iveco was bumped by other players, but okay, let's move on. I tried to switch to the main track, there was a lot, a lot of leg.

When I finally get out, I passed the leg zone ... I step to become more relaxed and BUMMM, the rear of the trailer, cabin demolished.

BRASTILAVA - My 1st real experience in collective delivery of Event One Truck Family.

I believe everyone took the spirit of the event. There were sections on the highway that we followed as an informal train, sometimes alone.

Arriving near Brastilava I was with 2 Germans in line.

One in front of me and the other behind.

And the whole queue really helping out, making room and all. I managed to deliver.
Use automatic download and fast travel so you do not tumble even more.

But before I left, I thanked everyone for chatting.
It really made me happy. But there are those who want to queue and everything.

I have my suggestions to TRUCKERS MP to improve the traffic in the event., The order and the moderators have less number of problems.
I return to this theme at the end.

ANCONA - The delivery was quiet I made a route through TURIN, MOUNTAINS APENINOS and I arrived in Ancona was good.

There were batters in the accesses and concrete blockade in the port allowed unique access and only exit. Perfect.

POZNAN - It was quiet, although very busy the exit of Berlin, the GPS deceived me and gave me another route. Which was good with less traffic.

And when I saw in the rearview mirror a fellow truck driver or very fast group, I leaned against the security area.

I think it is more prudent to accelerate and follow the highway, the colleague reaches and wants to overtake, can make some mistake and collide.
So I'd rather be careful, as much as I can, with my keyboard.

SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT
- MP Truckers could define:
- access road for the queue of trucks upon arriving to the destination city. Objective: to give only traffic sense, to have only one access queue, there is destination company of the trailer.
- Exit routes for the city's truck queue.

As:
Use track blockers.
Simple streets MUST HAVE ONE SENSE traffic  destination.
And access should have escort cars or police with moderators who use an exclusive track, the other would get us lined up and organized until delivery of the cargo.
The departure of the company should have a unique meaning, equal to access.
But it increases the output options.
Of course moderators with patrol cars.
As it is always the problem in the destination then that is where it has to be organized.

I've seen you around a lot and you make some long posts. Paris was the worst in my opinion. Bratislava was slightly better with more roads to enter the city, unlike paris. Ancona only had 1 road to enter the city so it was bad. Poznan has a few roads that you can use to enter the city so it was not that bad. I've been using EU3 for the event and it's still congested but about 5x faster than it would be in EU2. For example, it only took me about 10-15 minutes to get through the poznan traffic jam.

Yes, use Brastilava Server 3. It really is better. Having multiple freeways to get into town is not the problem! The problem is that you form 2, 3 lines. One sure thing was to have a queue inside the city to get in and out. I think the truckers. Because the event seems to be permanent.
And a multiplayer if you want to solve problems like that. You have to try real solutions Here in Brazil there are long queues in the ports. Trucks travel on the shoulder for access, have left-hand lanes for them, only one direction. One doctor uses another to return, to avoid hassles and collisions. Brastilava and Poznan were the best that the chaos will be BRUSSELS. Here the event is called agricultural crops. 2 times in the year the port cities lose the tranquility of the common organization and they enter in special regime of transit, they last about 15 days. The freeways thousands of trucks from the inland to the coast.

I'm enjoying the event a lot. I am one of those who already concludes, I can say that these events help to remove those players from ''Calais to Duisburg'' and bring them to know the great map that we have. Despite being a mega transit, most of the players have the responsibility in driving, others not so much. But the use of Moderators and Managers to organize the traffic, ends up significantly helping to ''flow'' the event, directing the good players and reducing to the maximum those "smart" players. Well, congratulations to the event and the whole team that organized it.  :)

I personally like how SCS (among with World Of Trucks) is regularly organizing events for Euro Truck Simulator 2 as well as for American Truck Simulator. As delivering normal contracts might be a little boring for some of the players at times, kind of events give them a reason to play some more ETS2 and ATS as well. Of course, it would be nice if the rewards were a little better as the skins and interior models and pennants are something not so many players - neither do I - use. On the other hand, we can't always expect to get plenty of awesome stuff as SCS is already putting most of their effort for making new map expansions, truck models, trailer types, etc. The events are indeed fun and give us a 'real reason' to play some more truck simulations, but it also supports SCS as many people might buy the missing DLCs during the events (especially if the event has pickup or dropoff points in a DLC area).

One truck family as an event has been one of my favourites. I really love how much effort SCS has put into the event trailers this time to make them pretty realistic; we have ten different trailers and all of them has something unique. I've already completed the first part of the event which was to deliver the trailers from the given locations. As already mentioned, I was slightly disappointed with the rewards, though. I mainly completed the event in the singleplayer as especially the beginning of the event was extremely busy (Paris and Bratislava) in the multiplayer. However, as Ancona was in the DLC area (and pretty far from the pickup points), it was much quieter in the multiplayer as well and thus, I managed to complete the last two contracts in the multiplayer without being flipped over. :D

But overall, the event was pretty good in my opinion. Other than the rewards that I won't probably ever use, the event was fun to complete. I hope to see more of this kind of events in the future as well. :)

the event is great but I personally avoided driving in the busy parts at truckersmp  because I do not want to risk a ban because of a lag by accident one delivery went through the road of event and here I also want to thank the game moderator team who controlled the traffic pretty well because without them it would be no human cacophony everybody pushes to go where there is no point in it because they will be waiting for a little or very much to come up with an interesting situation

how a moderator in europe 3 was breaking the road in order not to block the junction for players who are not on the way to pass transit for which I am passionately surprised and I express my special thanks for that

THE COMMUNITY IS BOOMING!

It's so good that the event is bringing so many players together and creating new hot spots, right now.

Everyone is driving the routes and there's opportunity for more events around the FIA ETRC 2019.... such as a race... maybe ;)

Check out my suggestion for a trucking race!

This event is really a plus. I undertook the execution of event orders from the very beginning, but in the case when we were to deliver them to Paris, it was not an easy task, because the trailers were not synchronized then. So sometimes when you came too close to the truck before us , you or he was flying truck. It did not help to pay attention whether using text chat, CB, or in a private message to a friend behind us to keep the distance, because the trailer is longer than he seems. In the same way, administrators who helped us safely reach the destination wrote about it. The situation with too close approach has changed dramatically when the trailers have been synchronized (Thank you so much for the devs). I also think that to the perfection of this event on TruckersMP servers is lacking only a greater driving culture from all of us. Situations like : "overtake a whole turn of vehicles, just to get to the destination faster or to queue by force" is not cool when you are patiently standing and waiting your turn to unload, and some other player overtakes everyone and goes in before You.

I would like to thanks the whole administration for help in the destination city from the event , and they made sure that people would not break the rules on the servers !

So far, this event has been really fun for me. As stated by many others, the traffic, oh boy the traffic. Lucky for me, I usually get on when others are offline so traffic isnt always a problem for me. However, I did sit in the massive traffic clot that is Paris 10 times. Yes, I completed the first part of the event solely in Paris. Unlike the herds of sheep taking the short, traffic congested path, I looked ahead and planned to use the "back door" into Paris (Southern entrance and drive by IKEA to FTE). I usually planned routes to take that offered me the right of way more often than not. Even if the route went around the city and down country lanes....like in Ancona. I used the country road that connects to the roundabout just off the expressway. Overall, since I have done all 10, every three days i take a load to the next destination. Although the rewards aren't fancy, I still like the fun....plus its fun to drive by the herds of sheep delivering trucks.

As said, I like to look at good routes into a city, this next city though, (Brussels) oh boy its going to be a madhouse. I wish everyone good luck and safe travels for Brussels and of course, the rest of the destinations! Happy travels!

It's great to see the car moderators in the event cities, and some of them on patrol, where they form a location. I played server 2 loaded in OSLO, it was silent.

Car moderators in town make all the difference, order and patrol, forcing order without necessarily having to deal with the car, chatting or banning the server for a few hours, without historical penalties.

Yes, I already had it on the Brussels stage, someone fought there at the beginning of the queue and then turned into chaos, the 3 bottled bands and tumult, was a huge ban even for us, many people who were standing line, on the shoulder waiting for this finish.

I do not complain.

I just think that when it's a 3 or 4 lane highway, they could do what we call in Brazil to "embretar", that is, to condition, tighten by the sides. It uses blockers to gradually reduce queues, in a single, so if there are 4 tracks, reduce to 3, 2,1, unique path.

Queuing is a form of trucker's reality in the world, it's a test of patience, a short driving ability and kindness, as I observed in Brastilava.

I've already made 3 deliveries in Oslo, it's the most organized of the stages.

But still MP Truckers has a serious flaw that needs to be fixed or tested.

The areas declared closed, should have a notice, here in the community, with a map of the closed routes, I made a delivery by Ejberg - DK in Oslo I think it is a closed area.

I do not see any warning on the highway, no alert in the community, and truckers of the FM, I can not hear you say, auditively very, very small, practically deaf. So CB radio, this does not help me, although love it on the way, love to have.

D3p-GcVXsAELDrB.jpg:large

For me, more visual or written things help. Other players also used the way. There is nothing, no temporary advice written like;
"Closed for the event ".It could be created based on the random event of the road repair game that has traffic lights. It may be temporary in access to these enclosed areas and the board next to it written.

And be even more restricted than in the screenhoot, only 1 way. For those who are well aware that they enter a temporarily inactive area. And it may be subject to some light punishment, but not computed to history, like a few hours. Just to be educational, there are rules in MP. I entered without knowing in ENJEBERG - DK. I would not go in if there was something like that and others would. It was a good shortcut of intense flow. But if it was closed I did not know. Only in OSLO I asked other players.
It is missing this information to put as news, in the community, the same, as they do, in the updates of the MOD, has visibility for all. Outside the TRUCKERS MP, page and in here.

Please.

Event: World of Trucks It's a great time especially for MP. During this period, there are more players on servers, and many materials can be seen on social media, additionally promoting :tmp::wub:

More players moving :90: (WoTr speed limiter) - it's safer on the roads. I provided some cargo on server eu2, it required a lot of patience because the queues to the companies were huge.

The hardest part was finding a place of unloading in company Polaris Lines - Oslo:

Current event trailers look fantastic but it's a pity that the SCS studio haven't included its container as an additional WoTr order:

This event was really good, The only problem is that there were a lot of people around us and we have trouble moving forward, we spend hours in traffic jams.

Apart from that it was great, I am very impatient for the next event :)

The trailer was nice.

Well, no one knows much about my life, now they know that I'm losing hearing and visual information is good for me now.
Younger as much of you are. I accompanied my father was a trucker, farmer, cattle rancher, racegoer, ...
So we took many lines to deliver soy, between CHAPADA GAÚCHA (MG, State of Minas Gerais) and Valparaiso (State of Goias).

The queues were long, sometimes tiring, but lively.
What causes problems in the MP TRUCKERS, is not to have many players, is to have many streets of direct access to the destination of the load. When there is only one access road.

And another street used for the exit is no problem.

The players respect the queue, and are polite. The majority.

Even when there were not as many on-site moderators as there are in the 48-hour event at one location.

Flow in this time is high. The patrol of the way of entry to the city and destination having an exclusive track to moderator, imposes order.

We should be little older, understand that most are teenagers, many are not drivers' children, and in Europe, I BELIEVE THAT THE ROWS DO NOT BE ON BIG SCALE as on the servers.

For us here in BRAZIL is due to logistical deficiencies.

So in a way, this gives us an advantage in this kind of event and queues, I mean patience, and ability to walk and stop, walk and stop.

No event until we have autodromes on the map will have the ideal scenario.

The ideal scenario today was to have several parking spots to complete the event.

3 to 5 vacancies It is wrong to have a small symbol for so many trucks delivering the cargo.

The parking spot is good. But you need more of this easy parking in the destination area of the event.

The queues would diminish, there would be more lively players to do.

I have not yet completed my burden on Manchester to see how things stand.
The good part of the event is the queue, unique challenge, is where we show respect for each other by doing just the phrase "one truck, one family".

We can give more fluency, but without queuing, it would not be a differential event. There is no more delivery.

The presence of moderators and blockers is almost perfect.

It only needs to create restricted access to the prohibited areas to the event, but they give access to cities like ENJEBERG (DK), because in the map it really allows a shortcut, very..very good ...

I wrote too much. I'm stupid.  :)

I really liked this event. Being stuck in busy traffic is an enjoyable experience in ETS 2. But in the target cities there are so much traffic that sometimes I can't even enter the city in 30 minutes. So when this happens I just log-off and finish the delivery in singleplayer, which is demotivating a little.

So, to prevent this I have an idea. The target cities should have at least 2 or more connections to the delivery point. For example, while Piraha has several entrance points Brussel has only one entrance. So, cities like Brussel shouldn't be chosen as target during the next event, I believe.

Great event! Performed on 5+! The first load was delivered in a day #EU2 Paris! Only hardcore! In traffic for more than two hours! From clutch leg day was sick! It was fun, there is something to remember! Sincere gratitude to the game moderators for their work for all the time of the event! How knows, maybe you will help in this case is not easy ever!
