Cannot login to TruckersMP

Since a week or so I cannot login to TruckersMP. I launch ATS through TMP launcher and it starts normally.

Then at the login screen my creds were prefilled as always, but when logging in at says: Invalid email or password. (I didn't change any of them)

I already tried to change my passwords a couple of times but it keeps saying this.
To make this issue even harder, I can login normally on the TMP website.

What to do?

If your login data works on TruckersMP.com, but you can not log in to the game, then try the following:

1) Open Notepad or a text document.
2) Write your e-mail in the first line and your password in the second line.
3) Now you copy the e-mail from Notepad and insert into the game using the key combination. (Ctrl + C = Copy) (Ctrl + V = Paste)

4) You now also repeat the described process for the password.

 

If this did not help you, you probably have characters or letters that are not recognized by the login system. To work around this problem, you can only use Latin letters (a-z) and numbers (0-9)

You can change your password as follows:
1) Log in to the TruckersMP.com homepage, then click on 'Edit Account' or 'Edit Account'.
2) Now double-tap your new password and twice your old password and press "Save account data" or save account data. I hope one of those approaches helped you solve the problem.

Thanks for your fast response.

Unfortunately the copy paste method and the other method do not work.

My email only contains a-z, one number and a period (.), I guess more people will have a period in their email.

My pass also doesn't contain any special characters, just letters and numbers

This issue might be caused also by a corrupted steam_api.dll

 

In order to fix follow the instructions below:

> Please head over to the installation folder of Euro Truck Simulator 2 on Steam ( for ex: X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin ) and delete the bin folder.
> Verify integrity of game cache for Euro Truck Simulator 2 [ Go to Steam - Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Properties - Local Files - Verify integrity of game cache ]
> Wait for the process to finish.
> Start TruckersMP and try to log in.

 

Hope the solution given above will solve your problem but if it doesn't I'll look for other solutions

Well it worked but I think not because of some files being re-downloaded, but because I was starting the game from my second Steam account which I only use for CSGO.

Back in the days I accidentally redeemed the game key for ATS on my second account, while I wanted it to be on my main acc.

Last couple of days I started TruckersMP with my Main account which actually doesn't own ATS, but is gained access through Steam Family Share.

I can login at the TMP login screen normally while on my second steam account (which indeed owns ATS), but logging in while on my main steam account gives me the error again.

Conclusion: Just stupidity of me. Thanks for your help @BL4CK$K1LL and @Grundii!
