Load escorting

Space Night

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, one for the Administration team and moderators

At some stage I would like to organise within a VTC a heavy cargo with pilot cars, would it be within the rules for the pilot cars to function in the manner identical to how pilot cars work in the special cargo pack and in real life by positioning themselves in positions to make space for the load under escort to negotiate tight corners and prevent players from crashing into the load under escort.  Similar to how it's done with organised convoys.

The CD road will NOT BE USED for this.

Can you help out with advice on this and clarify rules over this please

The only real rules, of course including the rules that apply to everyone and you already know, is that pilot cars cannot block traffic for any reason.

They can, however, stop their car in any place providing it is not obstructing anyone else, and they are not sitting in active lanes of traffic.

As much as it would be considered unrealistic, heavy cargo should yield to other players on TMP. The only exceptions to this is if you ever need two lanes to turn, but that should still be done without blocking the lanes of travel.

§2.7 - Inappropriate Convoy Management / Car Abuse

Convoy pilots are not permitted to slow down, block or control traffic, acting as a moderator and otherwise abusing the pilot scheme paint job. You are not permitted to take a convoy into highly populated area intentionally. This can include (but is not limited to) Calais, Duisburg, Calais-Duisburg road or surrounding areas.

The reason being I am trying to get some practice planned for this event that TMP have planned as it sounds like a wide load and escorts event this weekend (tomorrow)

With convoys not everyone knows where they are going, however a team of 3 will.  And if we're being judged on this event i want to do it with as much realism as possible by behaving like the scs escort vans in the special transport dlc without breaking rules and putting our cb chat into the open source every one can listen into our coordination

@Explore Transport If you mean the real ops on Sunday, the players are not allowed to block or use cars.

That event is being run by TMP staff on a separate server, where players are only allowed trucks and to drive the route, not partake in themselves.

Please fully read: https://truckersmp.com/blog/143

Also public servers, you are not allowed to block roads or traffic from passing even if you are doing it for someones heavy cargo.

Hope this helps,

SuperMouse

Due to the rule:

§2.7 - Inappropriate Convoy Management / Car Abuse

Convoy pilots are not permitted to slow down, block or control traffic, acting as a moderator and otherwise abusing the pilot scheme paint job. You are not permitted to take a convoy into highly populated area intentionally. This can include (but is not limited to) Calais, Duisburg, Calais-Duisburg road or surrounding areas.

So you are now allowed to do that. In public server, you cannot do that, you may be kicked/banned for reason blocking. But you can block road and guide people (like convoy control) on your event server
