Launcher Errors Knowledgebase

Below are some of the possible solutions to different errors on the launcher.

Please try these before creating a ticket.

 

System.Runtime.Interop.Services.COMException 0x80072EE4

Spoiler

1. Make sure you have the latest .Net Framework
2. Clean your temp files with CCleaner
3. Check your temp files path and make sure it's located at C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache
4. If you don't have "INetCache" folder make a new folder and name it "temp" and then open the Windows temp settings and choose the new path.

System.InvalidOperationException "This implementation is not part of the Windows Plaform FIPS validated crypographic algorithms"

Spoiler

1. Press the Windows key and R (Win+r) on your keyboard
2. Enter "regedit" and press enter (without the quotes)
3. Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\FipsAlgorithmPolicy"
4. Click "File"
5. Click "Export"
6. Save the file somewhere safe (eg. on your desktop) as a backup
7. Once saved, double click on "Enabled"
8. Set "Value data" to "0" (without the quotes)
9. Press OK
10. Close Registry editor and reboot

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP\core_atsmp.dll*' is denied. (*replace with ets2mp, as well).

Spoiler

1. Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard
2. Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)
3. Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.
4. Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"
5. Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges https://truckersmp.com/download/
6. Open The Launcher with admin privileges and click "Install Available Updates"
