andy Suter
So im having a problem with talking with other players. Ive got a mic but never plug it in so that’s my first thing I’ll do. I assume just press X to talk? The next thing is chat. A good example was last night. Ive just joined a VTC (viva) and came across another VTC driver. I could hear him wanting to chat on CB but I couldn’t as my mic wasn’t set up. I then went into chat and saw he’d been trying to chat I there but I hadn’t seen it. How do you guys have the chat visible and do you type while driving? I find that impossible.
[MCG] Kien Giang
Hello You can use CB Radio in game to talk Here is guide: Spoiler 5 minutes ago, andy Suter said: I then went into chat and saw he’d been trying to chat I there but I hadn’t seen it. For this, if he chat but you couldn't see a message, you may turn off chat by pressing F9 by mistake, then you login in game and press F9 again to turn on chat, after that you can see a message You can read this topic Spoiler 13 minutes ago, andy Suter said: How do you guys have the chat visible and do you type while driving? You can type while driving, that's normal But I guess you turned off the chat while driving, please try press F9 again then you can see other players chat And when you drive with keybroad, it's difficult for you to type while driving because you can control while typing. So if you use
Amber Rose
Typing and driving is one the worst ways to have an accident. Especially the keybroad the drivers. It is in fact hard to do both at the same time but no one wants to pull over to send a message each time so its something we all get used to. Leon Baker
Since I use keyboard and mouse It's a bit easier for me to drive and type at the same moment, but you also need to have fast typing skills, so you won't crash into anyone, of course, that's a bit dangerous, because this can cause a crash but I just always try to find straight road where I don't need to use my keyboard while typing, that's all magic. iLegend
When I use mouse and keyboard is easy, if you use another controller... it's a little more difficult, and obviusly -> Accident
Dziada
You're right, X to talk, and obviously plug in your mic. You can toggle chat visibility with F9. It's not that hard to type while driving, especially if you drive with mouse or pad or wheel. If you drive with a keyboard then it's hard.
[ATL]Andrey rus
Yes Easy. Just one game wheel is enough and life changes)))). Of course there are clever players who manage to write on the go, and someone just stops on the sidelines and writes in the chat. If you write on the go, it can lead to bad consequences
[GER] Mr.Sausage
Mostly i type while driving. I got a steering wheel so its really easy to type while driving.
andy Suter
Thanks for the replies. So to type, are you pressing 'y' to open up the chat panel (mine covers half the screen!) and type in the there or is there a quicker way?

Итак, чтобы напечатать, вы нажимаете 'y', чтобы открыть панель чата (моя покрывает половину экрана!) The window of all opens the same. There are only two options for you. 1. Write while driving with a fully open chat, which is not safe. 2. Stop on the sidelines and write in chat
-Tomukas-
Hello There :=) It's dangerous to write something about chatting while driving, but it doesn't cause problems for me because I use the mouse, I can turn the steering wheel and write something through chat. As I said, it's really simple and I would recommend it to you.
andy Suter
So I hooked up my mic and tested it in the settings. Seems to be working but then when I go to press X (and hold to talk), I don't get any noise or 'clicks' or pop ups on screen or anything to even tell me im broadcasting. Is that normal? Andreea RO
Don't make the mistake to write and drive at the same time. If you see that your microphone doesn't work, you pull over, turn on the hazard lights and you write or figure out what's wrong with your microphone. When you press "y" to chat, the chat window always covers your screen, and there's no faster way. Therefore, I recommend that you do not chat while driving (specially when you drive with keybroad), it is very dangerous or you can stop your truck beside the road then you can chat
CoNnEcT955
if its a short message then you can type it really fast while driving, but if you dont have cargo then you can even stop really fast and type, but no one has time for that especially if you have cargo, until you stop and then start again, the driver that wanted to talk or said something, he will be long gone. Amber Rose
Once the player is off your "near by list" you cannot longer hear/see his chatsor CB.
