Tips and Rulles for SAFE DRIVING

teiubescmicutzamea

Question

Hello guys! I have some tips for you if you want to drive safe and not crash your truck.

Allways obey traffic rulles!

- Red lights

- Give ways

- Speed limits

- No overtaking zones

- Wrong way

- Night lights

There are some settings in game for safe driving.

- Braking intensity = the slider bar must set to the maximum (on the right side) for a safe brake, then you can easy stop in emergency situations.

- Trailer stability = the slider bar must set to the maximum (on the right side) for a best truck stability when you take turns.

- Air brake simulation = must be disabled. If enabled when you brake too much times you will lost the air presure and you will not be able to move your truck, so that cause blocking the other ways and you will be baned. If you want to brevent this you must disable it.

- High graphics = produces lags and low ping in MP, it's recomended to not use high settings.

- Automatic retarder = if enabled produces more realistic driving when you drive on hills.

TIPS  for safe driving in game!

- when you exit from a industry enable Hazard Warning Lights for AI traffic to stop for give you way, and always run at werry low speed when exit (I have tested this).

- when you take turns always use blinkers to warn others wich direction you want to drive.

- if you aproacing for a gren signal it's recommended to start braking from a distance for safety stop your truck if the light signal is changing.

- do not overtake other trucks if you can't see the road ahead, in every moment other car or truck can drive on other way.

- when you take turns always run bellow 40 km/h.

- it's recommended to not run in paralel with other truck in highway, you don't know if others can steering right his way.

- when you overtake someone, do not enter in front of his truck when you have passed him, and keep distance behind his truck, because of some lags on MP it's possible to crash onto his truck.

- in highway try to use the first lane (Lane 1) as possible, you will need to pay attention only in the left mirror, if you will drive on the midlle lane you will need to keep looking on both side mirrors.

- always use blinkers when you intend to change the driving lane or your direction for other to see your intention and let you to make this maneuvre.

I hope you enjoy this game! Drive safe, keep money and don't crash your truck and others.

If someone have more tips and recomendations please post here...

Just highlighted a few things;

1: All of these hinder immersion and simulation, not to mention that performance is hindered by the MP mod and not your graphics (Unless you run a potato).

2: Hazards are to be used inside depots, and you should travel 5MPH (8KMH) when inside them.

3: Slower vehicles are supposed to stay in the outside lane of dual carriageways and motorways anyway.

You should probably edit it.

Thanks!

I have video card Geforce GTX 780. If I set up the maximum graphic settings my game start to lag in MP, I think sending and receiving more game graffic data on server this produces a high ping so that causes the lags in game. When I have set the graphics to medium the gamme runs perfect.

With Hazard Warning Lights I used in SP and the AI traffic stops so I can safety exit, otherwise they crash on me.

Generally you're right with your points. But I for myself surely won't put the brake power and trailer stability to the maximum, since it's just so unrealistic when you brake by at least 10kph while just tipping the brake gently (this just annoys me every time). The best tip for save driving is just respecting the other drivers, keeping a safe distance to vehicles in front of you and not racing around as fast as you can, resulting in trucks tilting over in tight corners. But since most of the drivers on mp don't care about this it's gonna be a long way to make the roads on mp safer...

I know these settings it's not give us a verry realistic drive. I think for some drivers that speeding in game, if Brake intensity is set to minimum they will don't start to brake from a safe distance when seeing an obstacle in front or if someone else cut his way they can't stop in safety and will crash on others causing ramming.

I think these settings for Brake intensity are good for Newbie drivers to prevent  being banned for ramming.

Correct me if im wrong but isnt it:

Slower vehicles should use the lane nearest to the hard shoulder and its called the inside lane

OUTSIDE LANE is the lane nearest to the barrier / opposite side of the road and is known as the overtaking lane..

Sorry about that, I dont know how it's called, if I'm wrong please correct me!

I say you should drive on the first running lane from right hand, not the midle lane, not on the center lane nearest to the oposite way.

I don't know how it's called. I just want to say, always keep driving on the most right hand running lane of the road in EU  and on left hand driving lane of the road in UK  (not emergency lane).

And remember to keep driving right on the lane, do not skip betwen lanes without warning other drivers about your intention! For those are blinkers!

Outside lane is the one used for junctions and exits. IE Hardshoulder.

Inside lane is barrier side.

I just hope this will reduce crashes and increase the safety on the roads.

We all need more good drivers on the roads, and more respect.

So we can focus on the increasing the company value, not spending our money to repair crashed trucks.

Also as a friendly gesture if a online player gives way to you turn on hazard lights for two blinks.

Bus Driver's do this in the real world.

Yup,  I do this also when someone lets me out of a junction.

And when I let other players out of a junction,  I flash them using J on my keyboard even if my lights are turned off.
