On day 2 of the baltic DLC the border crossing between Russia and Lithuania in the north was nearly as busy as the C-D road and although it had slightly less traffic, the border checkpoint caused congestion (waited about 30 minutes to get through a 1 mile road). Now, a few weeks on that road is hardly ever congested unless maybe once in a blue moon someone holds up traffic. But the calias-dusiburg route isn't busy because lots of people use it, the main reason it's busy is because one day someone decided to slow down traffic, people for some reason like being in traffic and now there's this endless cycle as new people get off the road more people join to create more traffic, basically what I'm saying is if you took a road somewhere in a different base game country and the same thing occurred, people said "this road has lots of traffic" it would have the same affect, everyone would pile onto that road in the hope for traffic. So, eventually people might find another road to create traffic on. Incase you don't believe me someone did some statistics which could be false, who knows, that 35% approx. of players on the C-D road in a survey a year ago or so, actually had a GPS route job that took them on that road, the rest of people either diverted their course to intentionally use that road or were just free roaming.
