Guest
8x4 is meant to use with heavy haul. They would spend so much fuel driving it with normal curtain trailers.
Gnl_Hugh122
I always use either a 4x2 or a 6x2 taglift because I personally find it nice to drive and way more realistic then driving around in 8x4’s all the time when in real life they are quite rare and very expensive which therefor means they are only used for heavy haulage, they are also the least efficient of all the chassis. 5pearmint
I always use the 6/2 midlift since its one of the most common chassis set ups in the UK. Don't get why people use 8x4 with normal general haulage trailers, it looks stupid but each to their own I guess. 5PEARMINT

NishizumiGLSP
8x4 is cool! Because it looks large and mean that you got heavy cargo
Davina
It depends on the loads' weights. 8x4 for heavy haul, 6x2 for realistic short haul max 44t.
SejuX
Yea. Don't use 8X4 for light haul because you will lost a lof of fuel. Use 8X4 for heavy hauls, there 8X4 will be very useful.

MadSmea
Used to use 8x4, switched to the 6x2 taglift because of fuel and easier in tighter area's also the skin I use for my VTC is not available on the 8x4. Madsmea UTL C.E.O

Rene Sneipa [GER]
In my opinion 6x2 is the best allrounder. It looks great and you can drive also a heavy trailer. I have also a 8x4 Truck but I use it very rarely.
Sabbi.
I use sometimes 6x2 but mostly 4x2, 6x2 for heavy trailer and 4x2 for normaly trailer.
Andreea RO
Mostly I use 4x2 or 6x2. I think 8x4 is way too massive and it consumes a lot of fuel.

Knusperschnitzel
Out of these two I prefer the 6x2, but I normaly use the 4x2 for my trucks.

Paltala
Depends on my truck and intended purpose. If I'm just using a general single trailer cross-continent, then a 4x2 will suit me. If I intend to stay within the UK, I'll using a 6x2/4 Mid Lift. My current Finland HTC truck is a 6x2 Tag lift I'll use a 6x4 in Sweden/Norway/Denmark for the extra traction when climbing hills while using a B-Double.
