Using F7 will make time advance and force refresh to the current server time so your jobs will sync up. Doing (one of) the above actions will without a doubt fix the problem I do have to say that fast travelling to a different city and then getting a job will almost end up in crashing the game to the desktop (that's my personal experience.)
