Hello :)

Have you tried take your truck sleep or F7 ?

Or try to reset your economy job

Below you'll find all the solutions in order to fix your economy and get new jobs:

a) You should try to rescue to service F7 + Enter (this sometimes resets your economy).
b) You should teleport to another garage.
c) Economy reset. This solution will reset and repopulate your jobs list/freight market and return you to your home garage..

Below there are two examples of how to do it:

1) Go to My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\profiles or My Documents\American Truck Simulator\profiles and find your profile - if you only have one profile it'll be the only one, otherwise, you'll have to work out which one you want.
2) Open the config.cfg in the profile folder in your text editor of choice (e.g. notepad).
3) Look for the line uset g_force_economy_reset "0" - change the 0 to a 1 and save the file.
4) Start TruckersMP and load your profile. You should receive a message saying "Game change detected", etc. Your economy will now have been reset.
5) Exit the game and change that 1 back to 0 in your config.cfg, otherwise it'll reset every time you start the game.

How to reset game economy using the in-game console:

1) Go to My Documents\Eurotruck Simulator 2\profiles or My Documents\American Truck Simulator\profiles and find your profile
2) Open the config.cfg in the profile folder and open with Notepad/WordPad
3) Look for uset g_developer "0"
4) Look for uset g_console "0"
5) Change the "0" to a "1"
6) Save the file (NOT save as)
7) Load your game and profile
8) Press ` key
9) Type in "uset g_force_economy_reset "1"
10) Save your game and exit
11) Reload the game and your recent saved profile
12) Open the console by pressing the ` key and pressing the up arrow
13) Repeat step 9 but change the "1" to a "0"
14) Repeat Step 11, 12 & 13
15) You should now get the "Game change detected" message
16) Your economy should now be reset

Hey there @don_gigant, and welcome to the forums :). As I see you're looking for help, I will move your topic to the respective section. I understand the reason why you have posted it here is that your issue is related to one particular game, but we have a Help section where all things related to support are dealt with, as our Support staff are able to handle it better, choosing the best answers for you. That said, it would be nice if you take this into account if you ever need help again: if you're looking for help, post it in the Help section, regardless of the game it is.

Good evening.

If you just started a new profile, the jobs you can choose have a limited maximum distance of 350 Km, if there are no other cities within that distance, you'll only be able to drive "inside city limits". But at that point, gaining levels is quite easy, even with short jobs, so when you reach the next level and have to assign your XP point, do it in the "Long distance". Longer jobs will give more XP, so you'll be reaching the higher levels sooner. After you have one or two points in Long Distance, best shots are ADR - Fragile - High Value and Just in Time for gaining extra XP with jobs in these categories. Ecodriving is just to save fuel.

I just checked by trying to reproduce your situation. Created a new profile, set my home office in Bergen, did 2 quick jobs in SP, got the bank loan and bought a truck. Then I went into MP. Checked the market. Freight market and quick jobs were empty, External contracts were all Bergen - Bergen. Went to my garage, slept and then checked again. There were many jobs in the freight market, but if I chose Bergen as city of origin, all that appeared were Bergen - Bergen. External contracts hadn't changed. But the Quick Jobs market had many options, like Goteborg - Vaxjo, and you don't need to drive to Goteborg to pick a quick job, you start right inside the "borrowed" truck.

So I guess that all the problem is in your skills. With a new profile, you don't have points to assign, your Long Distance is at its minimum, so you can only pick jobs with routes shorter than 350 Km. And from Bergen, there's no other city within that range. Your only chance, as I see it, is do quick jobs to raise your XP and begin assigning skill points to Long Distance. You can do External contracts, but being Bergen-Bergen all of them, the amount of XP you earn is ridiculous, it would take a lot of time.
