dragonslayingmaster1000
On the title screen of truckersmp it says ETS2MP 0.2.2.5.6 alpha. I'm wondering why it's still in alpha after over 4 years.
Mohammad Afzooni
Hello Truckersmp launcher is always upgrading. In a few days a new version will be released. And it remains on the alpha. Muhammad respectful
Mirrland
There are numerous reasons for this: 1 - The amount of bugs and how unpolished that it is. 2 - The amount of content or rather a lack of. There are or have been numerous things planned for the mod which just haven't seen the light, yet™. 3 - The constant influx of updates from SCS Software, taking up the developers' time, meaning they can't dedicate their time to developing new content. [C-S] karol_domag
As i remember the third point is the best answer. Tmp client core is based on reverse engineered binary form of the game itself. Every game update is a new compilation. Addresses of many variables are moved to another place every time. So It is really hard to build something big and fine while the surface is still not stable. Here is one of the old version of TMP source. https://github.com/MRBlueGame95/ETS2MP It is really outdated, but you can find out how many times the TMP client calls hidden functions under the hardcoded addresses. -- Regards Karol_Domag Coffee-Spedition
Ersma_n_Bier
Was Rome built in one day? No. They probably have not changed it yet, or is still working on it.
Kap.
SCS keeps developing the game and releases updates and that means the mulitplayer needs to be constantly updated meaning it can't really go into higher version with it's bugs and constant feature improving.
