kubb
I think its a bit annoying when you have for example 24 tons of load and on every toll you must stop. In Scandinavia its great there are no ramps. What you think?
Guest
Hey, not bad. It would be in France cool if there would be no more barriers at the easytolls, so you can drive straight through like in Scandinavia
ImOllie
Unsure if this would be do-able, due to it being an SCS Feature. I wonder if the addon team can work their magic on this Kind Regards, Ollie
Web Developer Kid Fabi Posted September 23, 2018 Web Developer Share Posted September 23, 2018 Euro Truck Simulator 2, like the name says is a Simulation game. SCS makes it's products, thinking about the players, who enjoy the game in Singleplayer in a simulation way. SCS's map creators are trying to make the maps looking most realistic, like in real life. Also tolls are a part of simulation and realism. We have countries, where tolls don't exist (Germany for example) and countries where tolls do exist (Poland for example). Removing tolls would only kill some part of realism. May be useful for TruckersMP players (Where most players drive at 150km/h), but not useful for the base game. Of course, it's only my opinion

But on Europe 2 that's not fully simulation so it's my opinion maybe they should delete it or reduce

Everyone has their own style of playing the game, but also should have a free choice between the servers. We can't just say to someone "If you want simulation, you must go to EU 1, otherwise nobody will care about your style of playing and you will lose some part of realism". Guest
This is the Simulation game. If the ramps are removed players will pass through the tolls 150 km/h and this is the main reason that destroys enthusiasm for playing in multiplayer. I am going to say no. Davina
The ramps are there as they are relevant to the realism of that country. Learn to slow down. Of course if you weren't going so quickly you could just roll off the throttle in a fuel-efficient manner.
63e Zen
I agree with @DavinaETS. It's part of the simulation. I personally enjoy the break of having to slow down or stop at the tolls. It adds variation especially when doing long distance jobs.
47Deftones47
Sounds good to me as im not a fan of tolls myself, but ETS2MP team told us many times before they will not make any modifications to the map, you could suggest this to the developers of the game ( SCS software ) on their forum. Atlought there's 0% chance they will consider or even read your suggestion.
Interstate Nomad
To stop at toll stations is still a quite normal procedure nowadays, as not all vehicles are equipped with an transponder device for electronic toll stations by default. The old fashioned way of payment (cash money or credit card) still exists and can, especially during rush hour or holiday seasons, lead to long queues of vehicles. IMHO, stopping at toll stations therefore is an valuable addition to increase realism of this simulator.
MadCowTransport
I really don't mind stopping at the tolls, even with heavy cargo. They also help to keep speeds in check somewhat. You have never truly trucked unless you have trucked with a MAD COW!
RileyNeko
No, it makes the game more realistic and should not be changed... Dutch Hazmat Special Division Manager at Viva Trucking NL
PRC*LongmenInt'I.215
This is a simulation game. Of course, it's the same as reality.
