In-game wheel shaking.

Hello everyone,

I just got a Thrustmaster T80 wheel, and even though im sure ive set it up properly there is still a problem.

When I go into the game the in-game wheel shakes around a ton and I cant really drive straight. Ive tried turning the engine FF down and the steering deadzone up but nothing seems to work.

Any help is much appreciated!

Hello there,

 

Have you set your wheel up with a specific driver software? If not, I recommend you do that, as that's how most wheels work with games.

There is many tutorials on the internet for that.

I don't really know about the Thrustmaster, but I know the logitech g27 works in 2 ways. You have the in-game settings to change the deadzone/force feedback of the steering wheel, and you also have a separate program (logitech profiler) in which you can also change force feedback/deadzone/centering power etc. Do you have a separate program for the thrustmaster?

I installed the driver for the wheel when I first plugged it into the PC. (Correct me if thats not the right thing)

hi, have you tried to configure the steering wheel with the software of the manufacturer?

I also recommend you to set the commands well by resetting the input wizard,

If your wheel is shaking it might be because of force feedback. Try turning that down if you have it?

The reason why that might be happening is because you have to set up force feedback settings in the software first. Then them all the way down to 0. Also try turning down the force-feedback completely and only turn on heavyness of the wheel to about 45 to 60%. That should reset it.  Hope that helped

Okay ive been looking into it and the only option is to return the wheel.

@NotSoFancyFox You turn down all force feedback in the Trustmaster software itself. So it doesnt shake, it will only give you some force while turning. Then edit the FFB settings in ETS2, and that should make the game and your Trustmaster software not conflict.
