CRASH WHEN CHANGING GAME CRAPHICS

TrippleX

Question

Help! My game keeps crashing when I change my graphic settings. This never happens because I always run my game on the highest settings and the game runs very good. Until one day, my graphic setting, resets and then I change it, it crashes or freezes and then I shut off the laptop and turn it back on. I tried deleting the game and re downloading on Steam, updating drivers, making a new profile. Please help me, I haven't gotten to play this in 2 weeks. Thanks!

SPECS:

GeForce GTX 1070 Max Q 8 GB

Intel i7 8 Gen Processor

16 GB of RAM

Hey there,

Please see if this happens on single player too.

However, updating windows and graphics card related updates can help you.

Please let us know if this solves your issue or not.

I have the same problem, but it is not a multiplayer problem, it also happens in single player.

It's a known problem, there are several treads on the SCS forum regarding the problem.

But you can change your resolution if you uses Geforce experience. If you select Games, and click on details and then user defined settings in the right side just under the picture you can change resolution.

Hello :)

Follow these guides:

Solution 1

> Go to Steam Library

> Right click Euro Truck Simulator 2

> Properties

> Local Files

> Verify Integrity of Game Files

Wait until the game files are verified and try whether the error still occurs.

Solution 2:

You should start TruckersMP as admin. This is really important.

Also try to start TruckersMP with DirectX (64)

Guide:

> Go to your steam App
> Go to library
> Go to ETS 2 / ATS
> Click "Play"
> Choose "Launch with DirectX (64-bit). Make sure you chose 64 bit.
> Start ETS 2
> Choose your profile and press "drive"
> Close ETS 2
> Start TruckersMP as admin. TruckersMP will start with DirectX for all time. Except you change it again.

Solution 3:

> Pull down your graphics settings.

> You maybe need a new profile, delete old and get a new one.

> Reinstall the mod and make sure that you put correct in directory. (\Steam\SteamApps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2)

> Don't use unsupported mods. Also too many mods can cause your game to crash. You can find supported and allowed mod from here.

> Delete file Documents/ETSMP (Please before deleting, backup this file)

> That's may be caused by missing game file.Go to Steam Library / Right click Euro Truck Simulator 2 / Properties / Local Files / Verify Integrity of Game Files.

> Make sure you have the latest .Net Framework (4.7) & DirectX Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 and use CCleaner to remove temporary files and obsolete registry paths.

Hello, follow the steps

  • Verify game cache
  • Delete garages, drivers.
  • Load other save game.
  • Make new profile.
  • Make sure you have the latest .Net Framework (4.7) & DirectX & Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 and use CCleaner to remove temporary files and obsolete registry paths.
  • Update your graphic card driver.
  • Pull down your graphics settings.
  • Take care not to play in busy areas.
  • If your Game is freezing for a long period it is because the mod Is attempting to its game time with the core game time. (SP & MP times are quite different)
  • Go in company manager (this may be a pain) and fire all of your drivers first.
  • Save your progress then completely close the game
  • Go into your Euro Truck Simulator 2 documents folders and select/highlight the your last profile (look at last modified) then with it highlighted hit the delete button.  (Again I know it could be a pain)
  • In addition this video will be helper
  • Also you can get support here by creating a ticket

Cheerio!

With all respect

Hello,

Can you remove your settings (i.e. rename Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\config.cfg to something else) and try again?

Best regards.
