Emergency Roadworks

The TMPRA [TruckersMP Road Association] have recently seen an increase in traffic in the areas of Santa Cruz & Santa Maria specifically the vicinity of the Landslide over Route 1. The TMPRA feel that this is due to Operation Big Sur. We are seeing a major impact in road traffic and thus is causing an impact to regular traffic and is causing severe delays. The increase in traffic is over 500 vehicles [Trucks and Cars].

With the above being taken into consideration, the following measures have been put into place…

  • Emergency roadworks have been completed to increase traffic flow and manoeuvrability.
  • Road improvements will stay in place until the landslide has been cleared.

Date of removal: July 16th

Going of what was positioned in the above blueprint, the following is a bird’s eye view of the finalised project: Finished

This has now been implemented and is effective Immediately.

Additionally, please remember to avoid collisions and when applicable… give way to other drivers to make sure that the traffic can continue in and out of the zones clearly and smoothly.

Wait what :o:o TMP has changed/edited the map? Thought it was not allowed to edit the map in anyway? :o:o TBH kinda sad the gravel/dirt road has been changed :( Now its just a boring tarmac road :unsure: Its a shame the gravel/dirt road is gone but I do understand why, trying to turn onto that road from the mudslide place was not easy yesterday :mellow:

Now, how long until some players start asking for "improvements" on the C-D road? Seeing that the default map/roads can actually be changed, there's no reason to not apply improvements on the worst areas IMO. This event is only temporary, but the problems on C-D area are persistent, there were suggestions to improve the roads, crossings, highway exits/entrances and they were all rejected because "The default map can not be changed". That's not an issue now, it seems.

Firstly, thank you EG0611. This is definitely a good update//improvement. But drivers should be more kind in this way. Remember it is not hard to give way, it is just a little brake.

is the NCZ extended into the junction as well?  Honestly, that alone could had solved most of the issues with people getting stuck in the turn by being caught out by just how big of a turning radius their land yacht sleeper has.

Great addition, been watching this in use and it has definitely helped the traffic flow. Looking forward to the add-on teams's future creations :)

So to those wondering what this roadworks contains:

  • Traffic lights at both quarries.
  • Concrete wider road between the quarries.
  • Wider junctions to allow better turning.

Makes sense to have this done, especially since it is only a temporary thing! :)

Tbh. I think that in real life we do not need 500 tousand transports to unlocck this road. ;) TMP world is a little bit different than real. Thanks to add on team that the road is wider and there are also traffic lights.
