Lag spikes

Hi guys i need your help. When iam playing i have 80+ fps but it drops to 10  every 5 seconds for 1 - 2 seconds. In SP everything is running ok without any problems. I dont have these lags in other games. It doesnt care if iam in city or not. Anyone knows how to fix it ? Iam from Czech republic playing on Europe 2

Hello

If you are entering a crowded city or a crowded area, there may be sudden fps drops.this is normal case.

update your operating system if updates are available.

I'm afraid there's no solution to that. Because TruckersMP Online is a platform, sudden FPS drops can be experienced in crowded areas at city entrances. This status happening even in very good systems.

Try all this and let me know it worked or not. And also check if you have Xbox DVR On if it is then disable it.

To avoiding hard Drops, you have to change a few Settings in the Ingame Options, the TruckersMP Options and the Driver Options.

 

Depending Killafragzilla´s  Hardware i suggest the following Settings:

 

 

Ingame:

- Enable Vsync   It is always better to having a Stable FPS Rate around 60 than often a Jumping between 180 till 45 or lower.

- Set Scale to 400%

- Disable MLAA

- Disable DOF

- Set all following Quality Settings to max.

- Disable Anisotropic Filtering by moving the Slider to the left Side.

 

 

TruckersMP:

Follow Baldemar Deutsch´s Guide to open the MP Settings. By the Way, Baldemar have to make new Screenshots, this Ones are outdated! 

Depending on your Internet Connection and your PC Spec´s, the following Setting Increasing or Decreasing the Graphic Performance and your own Lags or your Lagging to other User.

 

- Development Logging  

- Smoothing Distance

- Load Cabin Accessoires

- Load Flags

- Aditional Lights

- Draw Distance

Follow these guides:

Solution 1:

The other way is to try and Clear your computer cache which can be done from CCleaner or Clean Master for PC 

I personally reccomend Clean Master because using it from last 2 years and works perfectly :but ofcourse either of them does the job of clearing cache from your computer and other programs

Solution 2:

If that didn't work too you can try Cleaning up your C: Disk by the following steps

Step 3: After clicking Disk Cleanup wait for the system to collect junk and tell you via another popup box

Step 4: Tick Mark everything once it shows that this much junk lies , Their will be several like Offline website data,Temprorary files so yeah you can Tick all and Click OK button and let the cleaning happen after that Restart your PC and wait for it to reach idling speed.

 

Solution 3:

1. Log in on the MP
2. Press your Tab button -> go to Settings
3. General -> Development Logging -> Disable
4. Drivers animation -> Disable
5. After you did that just click on Apply and ok -> Restart your Game

Solution 4:

Try to launch the game as admin and with DirectX (64)

• Start ETS 2 normally via Steam (http://prntscr.com/hy5sy4)
• After that click on "Launch with DirectX (64)" (http://prntscr.com/hy5tev)
• Wait until you are InGame.
• Close ETS 2 and start TMP as admin! (http://prntscr.com/hy5u90 http://prntscr.com/hy5uig)

Also make sure your graphic driver is up to date!

no none of that works. It lags also in menu. Iam have same lags as this guy but they are not that long

Try these

1. Locate and Secure your Profiles, Copy them to a seperate Folder.

ETS2: http://prntscr.com/f6bney

2. Then de-install ETS2 via Steam and de- install TruckersMP.

3. Restart your PC.

4. Then start searching for all old Folders of TruckersMP and ETS2 and Delete them. A Cleaner Software will be helpfull. Sometimes there are "Dumb" Folders/Paths to ETS2, that were created by the TruckersMP Launcher

5. When u deleted all Folders, Restart ur PC Again.

6. Log In to Steam-->Rightclick on Steam--->Settings-->Download-->Steam Library Folders-->Add Library Folder---->Choose another Partition or Hdd and mark it as Default Library.

7. After that Procedure, Re- Install ATS/ETS2 via Steam into the new Library, make sure you installing this Version.

important: Check TruckersMP for the actual Versions of the Game, they can be different!!

8. Start the Game in Single Player and check the Version. Create a new Profile, but do not Drive. Close the Game.

9. Search with Windows File Explorer the Path to the ETS2 Installation. Keep this Path in Mind.

After that, download the actual Version of TruckersMP, unpack it to a seperate Folder. Install it from this Folder as Administrator.

Make sure that you having the right Path to the Games when you Installing TruckersMP.

You have to check them manually, do not let the Launcher Auto searching for them.

10. After the Installation start the Launcher as Administrator and let him finishing his Downloads. Then start the Multiplayer. If you can Play, close the Game and insert your old Game Pofiles.

 

Also try verify your game files:

> Go to Steam Library

> Right click Euro Truck Simulator 2

> Properties

> Local Files

> Verify Integrity of Game Files

Wait until the game files are verified and try whether the error still occurs.

Please make sure your specs are at least as good as the minimum required.

Can you post your specs?

It might also be that you have a CPU or RAM problem, it might be that your CPU is overheating.

You can check this via a 3rd party program like CoreTemp.

Is your CPU properly equipped with thermal paste and is your CPU cooler suited for your CPU?

If not, please try to fix these things, it might resolve your issue.
