Dear Truckers,

With this news post, we are marking the end of the often referred to as the forum rework which has been going on for quite a while now. Hopefully, each of these changes is going to contribute to a better environment in the future. There will, of course, be continuous news topics to keep you updated, however, they will not be published as frequently anymore.

Coming to the actual point, as you all know, we are always willing to encourage driving together and enjoying this awesome multiplayer modification in a group of people. To further support this, we have altered our guidelines for the Virtual Trucking Company sections for both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2. We want to ameliorate the situation regarding new companies whose owners are unable to express themselves, even though they would actually need that range to reach as many people as possible in order to grow.

In the spoiler provided beneath, you can find the newly introduced guidelines. Yes, I wrote "guidelines" instead of requirements due to the reason of not everything being mandatory, however, see yourself:

Quote

The only individual, which can create a topic about a Virtual Trucking Company, is the Company Owner.

The owner of the Virtual Trucking Company should:

  • Have a few useful posts on the forum;
  • Be registered on the forum for about two weeks.

The Virtual Trucking Company should:

  • Have at least five drivers;
  • Have a unique name that is not impersonating any real existing company;
  • Optional: Have a logo that is unique and does not infringe on any copyright or trademarks.

The Virtual Trucking Company topic has to include the following:

  • Sufficient contact information such as TeamSpeak, Discord, Skype or Email;
  • Images of the trucks and possible convoys/events;
  • Optional: An own website.

The Virtual Trucking Company topic must show that there has had been plentiful amounts of effort put into the creation of the topic. Even if your topic follows all guidelines, it still may not be accepted as it could be deemed under several requirements we have purposefully not listed. However, in that sense, we may also approve topics which do not meet all of the guidelines.

- Topics inactive over one month will be moved to company archives -

Since there were two old topics in that section containing these guidelines, we have archived those and replaced them with those above-mentioned points which are now available to you when having a look at the respective sections' descriptions for ATS and ETS2.

Lastly, we really hope that you will appreciate our effort to make it easier for newcomers. If you have any thoughts, ideas or want to express yourself otherwise, feel free to comment on this topic below.

Hey,

If you read the above-quoted part again, we will always decline topics which do not look like the creator has spent a little bit more time when creating the topic. After all, these are guidelines which means that any topic can be rejected if we do not deem it useful enough. In that sense, I doubt that we will end up with many topics like that. A few might come, however, the section will not be spammed.

Kind regards,

Anriandor

Hey @MaxOMax,

Having updated the guidelines of Virtual Trucking Companies, we just encourage more new people to post in that section. By no means, the older topics are not of importance anymore or are deemed as old. I do not know what made you think this, however, everything is being treated equally, just making it easier for new people.

Those who have attempted to post a topic in the past but got rejected have the ability to re-create their topic and submit it again with less strict things to pay attention to. :)

Kind regards,

Anriandor
