ETS2MP Massive Lag spikes only in MP

Jackaroo05

Question

Game version: 1.30.2.9s

TruckersMP version: 1.0.0.4

Current Patch version: 0.2.2.3.0

Computer: https://www.asus.com/us/Laptops/ROG-GL753VE/specifications/

Game installed on SSD

nVidia GeForce Game ready Driver version: 391.35

Hello. My ETS2MP is having the Crap lagged out of it's back end and the only time I can play MP is right after an update to the MP. It does not happen to me in Singleplayer so it's definitely a MP thing. My MP is installed in my ETS2 game directory to try and fix it but it didn't. I had a talk with @Gromm99 on Discord. It starts before I even sign in. I have two videos of the lag. Both do not show the actual length of the lag spikes that happen every 5-10-15 seconds and lasts at minimum 15 seconds.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello :)

Follow these guides:

  • Update your graphic card driver.
  • Take care not to play in busy areas.
  • Pull down your graphics settings.
  • You maybe need a new profile, delete old and get a new one.
  • Reinstall the mod and make sure that you put correct in directory. (\Steam\SteamApps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2)
  • Don't use unsupported mods. Also too many mods can cause your game to crash. You can find supported and allowed mod from here.
  • Delete file Documents/ETSMP (Please before deleting, backup this file)
  • That's may be caused by missing game file.Go to Steam Library / Right click Euro Truck Simulator 2 / Properties / Local Files / Verify Integrity of Game Files.
  • Make sure you have the latest .Net Framework (4.7) & DirectX & Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 and use CCleaner to remove temporary files and obsolete registry paths.
  • If it didn't work, don't hesitate send support ticket. https://support.truckersmp.com/

Hello there,

While you are playing do you have the charger connected to the laptop? It's really critical to be connected because the machine will down clock to reserve battery life so you won't get maximum performance.

Secondly have you checked the clocks and temperature in Gaming Center while you are playing?

Last, under power options (you will find that in battery properties) have you checked High Performance?

My game is installed on the SSD because the HDD is 54000 rpm and is not recommended for ETS2
I have also disabled dev logging and it didn't help

I have used different profiles, i have deleted the documents, i have verified integrity, i have latest .net, DirectX, and Visual C++ 2015, and i have submitted a ticket that started on the ticket but continued by talking with @Gromm99 and he was a big help but it didn't fix.

I do have my laptop plugged in because if i don't and i'm playing something simple like Poly Bridge, It sucks up the battery like the 747-400 sucks up fuel. I also had to make a High performace setting though because I do also use Razer Cortex for the best utilization of Ram for games but for some reason it also has a power plan.
