Error occured contacting update servers

I went to launch TMP from my desktop and instead of the launcher, an error opened up saying that it could not connect to its update servers.

Follow these guides:

Solution 1:

This error usually occurs when you try to update MP Launcher while the game is open.

First, check that ETS2 is running. If it works, end it and try again. If this does not work, delete core_ets2mp.dll and run Launcher again to download the file again. Location: C: \ ProgramData \ TruckersMP

 

Solution 2:

1-)Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard

2-)Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)

3-)Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.

4-)Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"

5-)Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges https://truckersmp.com/download/

6-)Open The Launcher with admin privileges and click "Install Available Updates" 

 

Solution 3:

1. Restart your modem / router.
2. Run the launcher as an administrator.
3. Test your internet speed from here.
4. Please update ".NET Framework".You can update from here.
5. Download and install "C++ 2015 Microsoft".You can download from here.
6. Change your DNS address.You can get new one from here and disable your vpn program. (if any)
7. Disable your antivirus program.Also make sure your Firewall/Antivirus isn't blocking the launcher.

Hey there,

To solve this problem, please follow the steps below:

1-) Download Ultrasurf here,
2-) Run Ultrasurf,
3-) Open TruckersMP in Administrator Mode,
4-) Install the available updates (only the first run with Ultrasurf), wait for it to finish and Launch button appears,
5-) Exit Ultrasurf.

Hey,

first of all - did you start it as an administrator? If not: Right click on TruckersMP and click on "run as administrator"

Thanks everyone, I deleted the my TMP launcher, downloaded a new one and it works fine!
