What firewall rules are needed for outbound?

TairikuOkami[SK]

Question

Hi, I was just wondering, what firewall rules are required to allow outbound?

I have tried those, but it failed to connect to the server and keeps reconnecting.

EDIT: I have figured it out. TruckersMP actually triggers UDP Loopback for eurotrucks2.exe, so I had to enable UDP connections for  ETS2. Rules edited. Solved.

EDIT: TruckersMP also uses Wininet caching, I had to enable it.

schtasks /Change /TN "Microsoft\Windows\Wininet\CacheTask" /Enable
schtasks /Run /TN "Microsoft\Windows\Wininet\CacheTask"

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="ETS2 UDP" dir=out action=allow protocol=UDP remoteport=1025-65535 program="E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x64\eurotrucks2.exe"

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="ETS2 MP DNS" dir=out action=allow protocol=UDP remoteip=156.154.71.3,156.154.70.3 remoteport=53 program="E:\TruckersMP Launcher\Launcher.exe"
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="ETS2 MP TCP" dir=out action=allow protocol=TCP remoteip=104.24.115.213 remoteport=80,443 program="E:\TruckersMP Launcher\Launcher.exe"
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="ETS2 MP UDP" dir=out action=allow protocol=UDP remoteport=1025-65535 program="E:\TruckersMP Launcher\Launcher.exe"

Hey)

have you tried to open these ports on your router ?

According to the api (http://api.ets2mp.com/servers/) are 42860, 42880 and 42890.

Other steps:

Try to deactivate firewall and try agian :)

Best Wishes

@TairikuOkami You could either try to completely deactivate your Windows Firewall, or just add TMP to the allowed programs which enables you to connect to a server without the Firewall blocking the connection while it is still activated. If you don't know how you can add applications to the list of allowed programs on your Firewall, you can check this website out (for Windows 10 at least): https://winaero.com/blog/allow-block-apps-firewall-windows-10/.

Hey,

try all of these

1. Do a dns flush: https://www.wikihow.com/Flush-DNS

2. Clear your PC's temp files with Clean Master for PC: https://www.cleanmasterofficial.com/en-us/?f=cmold

3. Open up your Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del on keyboard and see if there are some updating services running in the background processes , Example: Adobe IPC Broker service,or any form of updater service which updates softwares you use in the background.

4. Do a Disk Cleanup of C: drive - https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/help/17421/windows-free-up-drive-space#delete-files-using-disk-cleanup=windows-8 , P.S The top right corner where it says Windows 8.1/Windows RT 8.1 , Click drop down arrow and select your version of windows 7/8/10)

5. Disable any unwanted programs you dont want running and hogging internet: https://www.howtogeek.com/74523/how-to-disable-startup-programs-in-windows/

Hope I can help you,

Leon :)
