bug launching truckersMP with ETS2

peter65

Question

Hello, I can not run ETS2 with TRUCKERS MP since yesterday, when I run the program, and I click on "drive", the program stops responding, the screen turns black but the sound remains active.
I tried several choices of betas on steam with ETS2 (no beta, public beta 1.30 ...) but the problem remains.
My current version of ETS2 on steam is 1.30.2.6 and truckersMP tells me that it is compatible with 1.30.2.2S, impossible for me to find this version. Can you help me? Thank you !

Hello. Welcome to TPM forum :)

Follow these guides:

You should start TruckersMP as admin. This is really important.

Also try to start TruckersMP with DirectX (64)

Guide:

> Go to your steam App
> Go to library
> Go to ETS 2 / ATS
> Click "Play" http://prntscr.com/i96kvu
> Choose "Launch with DirectX (64-bit) http://prntscr.com/i96l3x Make sure you chose 64 bit.
> Start ETS 2
> Choose your profile and press "drive"
> Close ETS 2
> Start TruckersMP as admin. TruckersMP will start with DirectX for all time. Except you change it again.

Also try to reinstall TruckersMP.

Go to '%programdata%' (http://prntscr.com/i96omv) and delete the folder 'TruckersMP'. After that uninstall TruckersMP and download the MOD again. https://truckersmp.com/download -> Launch the installer as admin

Update your graphic card driver.

Take care not to play in busy areas.

Pull down your graphics settings.

You maybe need a new profile, delete old and get a new one.

Reinstall the mod and make sure that you put correct in directory. (\Steam\SteamApps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2)

Don't use unsupported mods. Also too many mods can cause your game to crash. You can find supported and allowed mod from here.

Delete file Documents/ETSMP (Please before deleting, backup this file)

That's may be caused by missing game file.Go to Steam Library / Right click Euro Truck Simulator 2 / Properties / Local Files / Verify Integrity of Game Files.

Make sure you have the latest .Net Framework (4.7) & DirectX & Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 and use CCleaner to remove temporary files and obsolete registry paths.

If it didn't work, don't hesitate send support ticket. https://support.truckersmp.com/

Also read these topics. It will help you

Hello mate!

This problem can often be an indication that the profile file is corrupt.

first try to delete the profile file, and if not, apply the other solution.

Documents>Euro Truck Simulator 2>congif.cfg delete the file and try to enter the game again.

Hi, i tried everything but still doesn't Work. I forgot to say that ets2 runs well as a single player, it's just with truckersmp that i have a black screen.

Maybe the compatibility ? The version of ets2 is 1.30.2.6.s and truckersmp only support 1.30.2.2.s

But i don't find in steam any beta that correspond to that version 1.30.2.2.s...

can someone Tell me if i'm on the Right way?

Hello All.

I am one of the truckers who have this problem from time to time. So I always search for solutions in the forum and sometimes the problem is solved.

This week the problem back again for me and I read somewhere here that most of the reason is related to Directx 9. I have windows 10 installed and directx 12 and could not install directx 9 in my computer. Searching for solutions in microsoft web site, I found this:

Hi,

I think this is what you need... it is an optional package of DX9-10 files...

A lot of games require it... DirectX Runtime June 2010...

This is a self extracting package. It will extract after double clicking on it so be sure to note the location where you\it extracted.

Then open the folder and double click DXSETUP.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=8109

So, after download the file, extract and run the program DXSETUP, I can play MP again. I holpe it works for you too.

Back again.

After this post, my problem was fixed for a while. Later when I tried to come back to the MP game, I had the same problem again.

So, my new suggestion now (worked for me again), is:

   After the game stops responding

Go to your Euro Truck Simulator 2 directory

   Open file Game.log

Search for error "<ERROR> [dx9] Present failed. [0x88760874]"

If you see this error, it will appears several times. The solution I found on steam community, is:

Solution: give the graphics card more time to respond

How-to:

open up the registry (windows key + r -> "regedit" -> OK)

go to the following path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers"

create the following new object at this location (right mouse button)
"DWORD (32-bit)" -> name it "TdrDelay" -> assign it a value of "10" (decimal)

close the registry

restart your system

You can check the information at https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=379526721

Hope it helps too.
