Hello,

I have been digging through the forums for you and have found a possible solution.

  1. Go to your TMP Install Directory or your desktop shortcut,
  2. Right click the launcher and go to properties,
  3. Click on "Compatibility",
  4. Select the checkbox "Run this program as Administrator",
  5. Then try launching Multiplayer again.

I do hope this helps, please let us know,

Regards.

Hello,

It should not ask for permission.

You just have to launch steam before lauching the game, probably no need for running it as adminsitrator.

Dear @mcchan1105;

  • Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard
  • Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)
  • Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.
  • Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"
  • Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges https://truckersmp.com/download/
  • Open The Launcher with admin privileges and click "Install Available Updates"

Best Regards,

Solution 1) Make sure that you are starting Multiplayer mod through the downloaded Multiplayer launcher.
Solution 2) Make sure that you have not opted into any betas for ETS2/ATS.
Solution 3) Instead of installing Multiplayer files anywhere on your computer, try to install them into the same folder where your ETS2 or ATS is.
Solution 4) Make sure your user account is of administrator status. Start Steam and Multiplayer as an administrator (run as administrator).
Solution 5) Make sure you are using the latest version of the Multiplayer mod.
