Avro Sisters Posted January 8, 2018 Share Posted January 8, 2018 I think the DLC should be added, but on the simulation server with some sort of non-collision. There can be a certain amount of people at only one time who can be in the cars, which can be used to escort. Reflecting on the Non-collision, it'll be good if the game could sense another vehicle coming towards it and transfer to no-collision; as soon as the vehicle has past, it goes back to normal. Allowed this DLC only on a specific server ( a simulation server I think, not on EU#2 obviously ) that have Non Collision activated on all map, due to the width of Special Transport DLC cargoes. Depending on the charge you are wide or very heavy or both ,to drive such a load is very difficult. And if people everywhere with such a truck can drive around without a speed limit. The HitMan Posted January 9, 2018 Share Posted January 9, 2018 I enjoyed playing the DLC, however, the sizes of the loads would cause a lot of issues, like certain loads could cause people to hit each other and if lots of people had the load in one area it may cause a lot of problems, certain loads also can't get under certain bridges due to the size. orangejamieboss Posted January 11, 2018 Share Posted January 11, 2018 I feel that this DLC would only be safe if it had its own specific server for it, otherwise there would be collisions all over the place. Considering the trailers almost take up the width of a lane, if you had another player driving down the other lane, then there’s a big issue, particularly at junctions. flybel Posted January 12, 2018 Share Posted January 12, 2018 +1 for adding Special Transport Cargo to EU#1, EU#4, Event server and maybe own server (add a new flag to the servers about allowing Special Transport Cargo) +0.5 for enabling freeroam with the trailers, because if it would only be allowed with the designated routes, there would be too much traffic and imagine 2 of those trucks trying to get past each other 0 for removing escort vehicles: I think they make sense, however it might be hard to sync them to the servers and other players -1 for removing the speed limit! 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

To be fair, in reallife there is no speed limit for special transports! It's the responsibility of the truck driver to safely move the cargo from A to B and to instruct escort vehicles. A driver should only drive as fast as he can safely control the vehicle. That can also mean a speed way below the maximum allowed speed limit.
