Does anyone else get this problem?

Hello trucking community.

Recently I've noticed that when i am loading up ETS2 in singleplayer it will take me to the screen where you choose your profile, when i click play, it will stop for around 15-20 seconds and then go back on, i was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue/problem or if it is just me!

If above answer doesn't help, try to verify your game cache.

 

1. Go to your Steam Library and right-click 'Euro Truck Simulator 2'
2. Select 'Properties'
3. Go to the third tab called 'Local Files' and select 'Verify game cache', or something along these lines
4. Wait a few minutes for it to finish

it looks like you got a Corrupt save file try to create a new profile and see if you still have that problem

When you click the first time on your profile, the data of your save game have to be loaded. The time which is needed for this depends on the size of your save game. So if you have already 50 trucks and 90% of the map discovered, it might take some time. Other than that it's pretty fast when you create a new profile since there are not as much information to load.

 

You should get a similar experience when trying to load the previous auto save. The game freezes for some seconds before it continues.
