Custom Messages for Chat Box

Suggestion Name: Custom Messages for Chat Box 

Suggestion Description: custom messages like "Thank You", "You are welcome", "You can go first", or even better, can you give us the ability to create our own messages and call them using an assigned button?

Any example images: N/A.

Why should it be added?: I don't like thanking people with a horn much, and sometimes when driving in a crowdy area it is hard to open the chat box because i might crash. (I use a driving wheel)

Personally I’m against thing like this because it can distract people to the point that they can run off the road or ram into someone. I for one would like to see a reduction in chat use, especially while the vehicle is in motion.

I suggest to refrain from using the chat while driving a vehicle.

 

Anyway, the program AutoHotkey might do the trick.

Mind you, I do not know if its usage is allowed in multiplayer.

Useful in my opinion, faster and reduce the time needed to write in the chat, which means more attention to the roads.

`I like this idea for the reason of thanking someone for doing something, but I could also see this as having more spam from  VTC's, which at times can be very annoying on ATS.

you can press "X" and talk to them!! .....you dont need to "write" .....many people are to lazy to write, or they cant write because they crash!!!

i have no problem with writing in chat while am driving!! ......after some time it becomes pretty easy!

Is and is not a good idea, it is good because it does not take away your attention while driving to type in the chat and a negative point is that the people of the vtc will chat much with this and it is kind of annoying

Well i think its not a good idea, the present chat box is fine and will not get distracted.example when one of your friend messages in chat box then most probably the people drive using steering wheel will chat and drive at same time with no issues.but if you are driving using keyboard will probably ram or drive wrong way

Quite like the idea of some sort of 'hotkey' or easy click tool that sends a quick response saving you having to type it, especially when it's something simple like 'Thank you'. The amount of times it'll be used is probably negotiable though and a poll would ideally have to be run with the community to see if it's something they'd generally want. I can see the benefits but whether it's useful enough to be added to the game and the argument over what should be on there as 'you can go first' being on a hotkey could cause issues with traffic flow and misunderstandings.
