Question

Posted

So i bought a Tobii eyetracker 4c a few days ago and i have been testing it in different games. I realised it was "supported" in ETS2 with an additional program called Vjoy. It worked ok in singleplayer so i tried it in the MP mod... BUT to my sadness it crashes as soon as i click the OK button before you select ur profile. So i was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue somehow? it really would make my day

Link to Vjoy:

OK! so i fixed it! If others get the same issue in the future with VJoy just follow these steps!:

1: Hard Reinstall the game... So delete everything and i mean everything! Even ur configs and previous saves ( i suggest you take ur newest save and store it somewhere else until the game is reinstalled)

2: Reinstall VJoy aswell

3: Open the game with DirectX 64 Bit (Make sure ur controller and/or wheel is unplugged)

4: Check ur controls to make sure the eyetracker works

5: Quit the game and connect other devices like a controller or a wheel

6: Open the game once again with DirectX 64 Bit and make sure it looks like this on the controller settings (see attached picture)

7: Done! Everything should work after these steps!

Thanks to everyone for the comments and help!

Hello,

To solve this problem you can try the following:

  • Reinstall TruckersMP
  • Verify game cache of Euro Truck Simulator 2
  • Download the drivers for your eyetracking device

By the way, if it's related to the VR version of ETS2, then you won't be able to play TruckersMP.

We do not support that version of the game, which could cause the crashes you have been experiencing.

Let us know if your problem got solved. If not, please just ask something down below again.

Im using the normal supported version :P the only thing thats different and started the crashing is that software. and it only crashes the game in multiplayer and thats weird because its basically just a virtual joystick and the only thing it does is set some controls to a joystick... also the multiplayer worked perfectly before i installed vjoy so its clealy some compability with vjoy and truckersmp

Dear @LilH3ro,

Open your steam> Library> Right click on ETS> Run with Directx x64.

I hope that helps you!
Greetings!

How does that help? :P That doesn't launch the multiplayer. And its the multiplayer that keeps crashing not singleplayer...
