Hello,

Probably the most common reason why people don't play it too much is because ETS2 released much, much earlier.

And because the servers of ETS2 are much more popular, people go drive on there to actually come across other people. On ATS you hardly ever see anyone.

Hello @Silver_plus

The reason there are very less players in ATS could be because there are only few Americans as compared to Europeans in this community. That is one reason whereas another reason could be because many VTC's are only for ETS2 bansed and some people do not have it. That could be some reasons in my opinion.

It can be because it is expensive or People want to get this game because there are so many Euro Truck videos on Youtube. so they want to buy it.

This can be down to many reasons really:

  1. ATS just isn't developed enough yet for most people: in comparison to ETS2, ATS just doesn't have as much content (content meaning cities, landmarks and road etc...); many players prefer a more developed map, which at the moment, ATS just doesn't have.
  2. In addition to the above, a lot of our playerbase prefer realism, and as such, those from European countries would prefer to drive in Europe, not in America.
  3. Many players want to go to places where its busy, and there is a lot of people around: ETS2 is perfect for this, since there are many populated areas on the map. In contrast to ATS, where as you say, there just isn't many players around.
  4. As touched on briefly by ???g??, there is a lot of big VTC's around, that are primarily based in Europe.
  5. ATS is still quite an expensive game for many. As you probably know, ETS2 has been around for a long time, and therefore quite a cheap game to buy. ATS is not so cheap, and especially with the DLC content, can add up to quite a hefty amount.

You'll most likely find that with the soonish realise of New Mexico, the playerbase of American Truck Simulator will increase, and you'll see more players around.
