Question about ETS2

SO i may have missed this, but why are we restricted to doubles in the Scandinavia DLC? I'm merely curious as I dont get on and play all that often.

IRL, they're only legal in Scandinavia (and loads for doubles stay in Scandinavia). So, the rule is that you cannot leave Scandinavia with a double, this would be considered useless traffic anyway. It auto-kicks you if you leave Scandinavia with a double though. 

(In short, to protect the realism and also headaches of them being on C-D)

they are allowed in other countries outside scandinavia but scs wanted it to be simple so they keeped it in scandinavia

The official reason why they are prohibited out of Scandinavia is because SCS limited them to this area, hence there's no need to take them somewhere else.

If SCS would allow them in other countries, TMP would do so, too (probably... but maybe not if they want them to stay away from CD)

Doubles are actually allowed outta Scandinavia, but not this kind of doubles. Or at least I’ve never seen one (exceptions prove the rule).

They are the scs doubles in netherlands and sometimes in germany

with mods yes but without mods you can only pick them up in scandinavia dlc and deliver them in scandinavia dlc

At all the other have say it already.

In All Double trailers are only allowed in Scandinavia because there its only legal to drive with it.

 

There also driving Doubles in Netherlands and Germany and some other countries.

But!

Its mostly a testing program. ( So its in Germany)

In Germany your only see Double trailers only in Baden Württemberg.

And there only at some highways and small roads.

Because only there they have the permission.

 

In all yes,  but its not complete legal as in the Scandinavian countries.

Thats why its only in .....

You can see some "doubles" in Spain's roads too, but not like the ones in the game, the allowed combinations here are the Tandems: Rigid + Trailer, something like this:

But many people seem to call these "Doubles", maybe that's why some users are saying that Doubles are allowed in many places other than Scandinavia?

Thank you for the insight everyone. I appreciate it. Well at least C+D won't be any worse than normal... That was my primary fear.

In Scandinavia, are Long Double Trailers allowed with a length of 25.25 m and a weight of 60 tons.
Since 2012, Sweden also has 32-meter Long heavy trucks, with 11 axes and 80 tonnes, they may only drive overnight at the E6 between Malmö and Gothenburg.
In the Netherlands, Long Double Trailers may only drive on specific roads, mostly motorways, a select number of other state roads, some provincial roads and municipal roads.
Also Germany, Belgium and France have Long Double Trailers ons the road but also they may not drive everywere.

ETS2MP Follows the rules,  if you would to drive in Europe then you get something as the new Heavy Cargo DLC that is coming you can drive only on a few roads.

A normal Tandem DLC would a great addition for ETS2MP, maybe this come in the future of ETS2MP.
