To check, go to "My Computer" (or "This PC"), at "Computer" tab press "System properties", and at "System type" it should show how many bits operating system is and if processor is x32 or x64. If your operating system is 32 bits and processor x32, you won't be able to play multiplayer, because TruckersMP requires 64 bits; if your operating system is 32 bits but processor x64, you need to install 64 bits operating system, but note that 64 bits operating systems use 2 gb of ram (memory). Did it crash before or could you play normally before? Before trying to do a reinstall or stuff like that try to do a game cache verification..
