Delete my account

Hi

 

I would like my account deleted and detached from my steam account. How can I do this? Many thanks.

Accounts cannot be deleted; they can only be permanently banned. You need to send a message to feedback should you want to do this instead.

Unfortunately, you cannot delete your account.

 

Alternatively, you could request for your account to be perm-banned.

We will not delete your account, we can however ban your account permanently if you wish to leave. Once you want to return, you can appeal this ban. This ban will be deleted and not count towards the ban extending procedure mentioned in §6 How bans are issued.

Hello dear @callum3224,

 

it is a nice try to remove your account and thus, your ban history from TruckersMP. That way, you can register an entirely new account without any bans and you would not even have to fear ban evading. Practically, you also do not need to spend money on a new steam account. A nice win-win situation you thought of.

But that is not how it works!

 

Since we are not a legal entity in the United Kingdom, where the DPA 1998 only applies, it does not matter that accounts are not deleted. So good luck.

Feel free to read that law: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1998/29/section/14. We do also not operate with any sensitive information.

 

Besides, TruckersMP follow EU and international laws that apply to us. The jurisdiction of the mentioned law is only within the UK, as mentioned here: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1998/29/section/15

Unfortunately you can not delete your account completely, but you can do the following actions:

- Change your email through our Support.
- Request a temporary account suspense through our FeedBack.
- Reset your password through your email.
