No personal truck sounds in ATS

[A Simple Cheeseburger]

I was in ATS earlier today and noticed that I had no truck sounds. The ambient game sounds and sounds including horns of other trucks were audible, but any sound that would of came from my truck were silent. I re-joined the game a couple of times to try and fix it to no result.

Try to  trade-in old truck for another one.

Was that in single player?

 

If not, make sure both sounds from the game settings and multiplayer settings are open.

In single player the sounds are fine.

Its just in MP that my truck is muted, and I checked and all the sounds were good, both in the multiplayer settings and the game settings.

I'd say give a try and delete the ATSMP folder from documents and try again.

Deleting the files hasn't fixed it so I'm going to download the multiplayer mod again from scratch and hope that solves it.

You don't really need to uninstall it. Try the F1 method first while you have the launcher open.

I didn't know you could use f1 to re download the stuff. Thanks! but as for the sound problem, after re-installing the mod and using the f1 method, still no luck

I have to go for a bit but before I go I'm going to post a video of what exactly is happening.

As you will hear, the menu sounds, and the games ambient sounds are fine, but when I move into the truck, there is no sounds at all.

have you tried and see if you have sound from your truck when you aren´t in ghost mode

Just a few questions:

• Navigate to Documents\ATSMP\config and find there string Sound.
 "engine" and "sound_effects"  true or false ? if false - set it to true

• Navigate to C:\Users\name\Documents\American Truck Simulator\profiles\your_profiles\config
Find string uset s_interior_volume. What is value there?

@trucker dashcam It doesn't matter where I am, the no sound problem is everywhere

 

@legress "engine" and "sound effects" are set to true, and uset s_interior_volume is at 1.0

 

still the problem is there.

I suggest hoping into a different truck and seeing if you hear any sounds. This has happened to me before and that was my fix just switching trucks

Thankyou for your responses everyone. While I still don't know why my W900 does not have sound, I found that every other vehicle in the game including a second W900 I bought does have sound.

Its sad since the first W900 I have had since the game came out and I don't plan on selling it even thought the sound does not work. But I guess its not all bad news.
