Renault truck has no engine noise

Hi, I have been experiencing a problem with my Renault truck for the past 2 weeks or so, that when i go between 1000 and 1500 revs (green area) the noise just disappears of the engine and is just quiet however truck still moves, but between 500 and 1000 revs it is ok, and 1500 to 3000 its ok. I have not really been bothered as i don't use this truck much however it is annoying as I am using the truck now.

If none of this works sell your current truck and buy a new one that has worked for me on many occasions.

do you have any mods loaded into this profile you're using? It could be a possible contributing factor as to why you're facing such an issue which you might want to fix by removing it and checking if it works properly or removing any mods then selling and buying a new truck and checking again.

There could be something wrong within the files. Try validating the game. You can do this by: 

 

Go to your steam library -> Right Click 'Euro Truck Simulator 2' -> Properties -> Local -> Verify Integrity of game files

 

Wait for it to find broken/lost files then once it has completed load up ets2 and see if it works.
