Te2izZ Posted July 4, 2017 Report Posted July 4, 2017 Suggestion Name: Delaying Connection (e.g. for like 30 secs) Suggestion Description: Delay the connection to the real road like around 30 secs. So one has plenty of time to decide and avoid a collision. Why should it be added?: I know that this has been discussed over time! But, I think there is still no rule that allows you to ban/report someone who spawns on road and makes you crash into him/her (I reported some users via web report, but admin said he cannot ban that person b/c it does not break the rule). I think this is because One can just be rammed by some reckless drivers on the road, and it is not one's fault because going to the service (using F7+ enter) can be annoying (e.g. you sometimes drive with friends and want to spawn not that far from them by using autosave). Although there is 5-sec-ghost-mode. I still see crashes caused by spawners on road (including to my experiences). Additional information: All who play EU#2 at peak hours may notice that you are able to be connected into the games if the queue is not that long, says max = 200. Being said, when you load the save and spawn into the game, there is no one there yet because you are still waiting in the queue to connect to EU#2. This is good because there is plenty of time, allowing you to move to the safe place (i.e. shoulder, grass, parking spot, or non-collision area). Hence (I'm not sure about coding stuff but) this is what I think we can add to the server: Although there is no queue waiting to connect to the server, the player is still on the FAKE queue. This will act like the REAL queue. So you have some time to move your car into the safe place. And if this is added, we can make a rule for "spawning on road is prohibited" because, after 30 secs period, it is all player's fault for not moving your car out of the road. This should equivalent to "connect to SP, then go to a safe place, and to go ack to MP" But this will make life easier because you do not have to switch between SP and MP and also, at peak hours, you do not have to wait for a long queue again in order to connect back to the server. P.S. I'm not sure that "connecting to the game at the first place" is different from "reloading the save" or not. If it's not the same, I will put this on developers' ends for any decision beyond that because they are all doing the GREAT and EXCELLENT job for ETS2 MP already This is just my suggestions! Thanks! 1
Smalley Posted July 4, 2017 Report Posted July 4, 2017 -support I dont even think this is even possible for the developers to even make if it did then I highly doubt it will be added due to not knowing the next move of that certain player. Sometimes it doesnt even take 30 seconds for someone to load an autosave
chipmunk197 Posted July 4, 2017 Report Posted July 4, 2017 people would still spawn on the road even sat in a Que of 200 people waiting to join they dont care

Because right now I think there is no rule mentioned that ppl spawn on road causing crash can be banned without any excuses.
chipmunk197 Posted July 4, 2017 Report Posted July 4, 2017 but if you report them nothing gets done iv tried it a few times on that c-d road

I think in-game report system still shows some weaknesses; we do not have strong evidence to show what happened at the report time.
_.Queen Rosalie._ Posted July 5, 2017 Report Posted July 5, 2017 -1 firstly, it's been suggested so many times before. Secondly, if there's a delay, who's to say people aren't going to just sit there for the duration before moving? Who's to say people aren't going to still be travelling much slower than average road speed thus causing accidents? No, a more sensible and believable system is to delay connection if the player is spawning on a road, no timer involved, just a case of positioning systems, only connect to the server once the players vehicle is completely out of the flow of traffic and stationary.
Guest Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 Hello, unfortunately, I have to tell you that is it very unlikely that TruckersMP is going to add something like that. With the least effort, I found those topics which were already rejected in the past: Spoiler Rejected.
