changing the game paint files

is there a way to change the pant file in the game on the client side?   like say i get the base silver paint or sumthing for a truck. every one on MP will see silver but ill get a custom paint..

 

anyone know how to do this..

 

also is it posable to get it from a mod on the steam workshop (get the paint file out of it)

I believe this can be done. But I doubt it would work on Multiplayer as it could crash players who are around you even if they don't see it. This is changing the game files which can cause an effect. And no, downloading stuff from workshop or even mod websites won't work on multiplayer for the fact that it's 3rd party mods. However, @Forerunner creates stuff for MP like editing bits of trailers and even putting certain paints on trailers. Maybe you should go and check his work out on this topic

anything thats a mod from workshop is probably not supported try this link may be what you are looking for

that only changes the colors ... should i be able to change my client files (that shouldent afect MP at all because its still the same file being loaded just diffent looks on my end)
