Fumiko
Suggestion Name: Updated rules window Suggestion Description: Having a window popup with updated rules before selecting a server in game for players to confirm they have read the new/edited rules before entering game. Any example images: N/A Why should it be added?: Just like when coming on the website and rule changes are made I think it would be more effective to show it in-game as well.
KhaosHammer
Hello, People already have to read and accept the rules when they create their account. When the rules are updaded, the 1st time you login to the TMP website it shows you the new/updated rules once again and you have to accept them. Or maybe just on the first login when the rules changes. Otherwise It would be annoying to accept them each time your game crash or you want to change your server. But tbh it's pointless to show them on the server selection screen. If people don't want to read them on the website, they won't even bother to read them in-game. Fumiko
^ Well yea "if" they decide to login into the site since you can play the game after only logging into the website once to download the installer for the first time. After that there's no need to visit the site again. Yes displaying the rules the first time logging into the game prior to a rule change would be sufficient. The aim behind this suggestion is to make sure no one has any room to say they never knew 'x' rule or that 'y' rule was changed. Edited June 14, 2017 by DerAmpelmann Removed unnecessary quote. Leff12345
As well as new/edited rules are displayed on the website, it will also be notified on the TruckersMP launcher, which you'll always use when you play. I think your suggestion is neat, I think it would make a benefit. But I think how it currently is will do its job for now.
DerAmpelmann
This can be useful, but not necessary. Like @KhaosHammer_BF said many people don't bother to read them on the website, so why would they do so in the login screen. However, when exact kind of rules are updated, for example excessive save editing rules, it could be useful to have a notification about the rule changes in the login screen. The people who save edit probably are interested to know about the rule change. This way the players would for sure know about the changes and cannot blame breaking the rules on lack of knowledge. 2 Ready to go!

A popup window the first time you open the Launcher with the rules, then once everytime they are updated would be enough. Btw people often come back to the website to report people so they "have to" read the rules again. But I bet 60% of them just check the box and move on to their reporting stuff. 2 Languages spoken : & ✉How to report ✘Appeal your ban ✔TMP Rules @Twitter
MangoMastani
Hello @Fumiko I wouldn't recommend this suggestion because when ever the rules are updated truckersmp.com shows the rules firstly on website startup to agree it.
Fumiko
@ScaniaT You're right and having it on the website is fine but the point i'm trying to get at is that you can avoid the website and still play in-game. You may argue that a player has to log into the website sooner or later for whatever reason but that's whenever they choose to. The idea here is to have the rules circulated to everyone as soon as it changes. I'll give you an example. Lets say you don't play ets2mp everyday, let's say you actually only play every few days because of real life issues. Now there has been an update to the rules and it has been posted on the launcher for the couple of days you've been away but a new announcement has been posted which replaced the rule change announcement. You now come online and jump straight into the game without checking the website because you really don't need to but then you get into trouble because of the recent rule change you didn't know about. @DerAmpelmann raised the point of players blaming the lack of knowledge for breaking rules and I think having the rules shown to you in the one place you can't avoid (the game itself) is the most effective way. And the way @KhaosHammer_BF mention could work just show it once upon logging into the game the first time prior to a rules change. But as always thanks for your feedback
FernandoCR [ESP]
Anything that helps people being aware of the rules and any changes to them is a good idea. It's true that when rules are changed the website shows a pop-up with them, but I'm guessing that most people just go to the submit button without even looking at the text. +1 from me.
.StεvƐ.
-1 for now, To be fair, if people cannot be bothered to check the rules and to follow them no matter where they are displayed, then what's the point in coding inal, these different places they can be seen? It's common sense, if you can't be bothered to read up the rules, then don't cry when you get banned end of, it's like ATS and Cs and EULAs, people just tick agree without really reading them. also, as said before to someone else's idea about putting up the rules on login, it's alright if it was something you could disable, but if it pops up every time you login to play the game, that's a bit excessive, it should be a case that if you want to remind yourself of the rules, it should be available as a tab on the tab menu, but if you don't or know the rules super well, then that's fair enough, it shouldn't be put in people's faces all the time. C?nnell
+1 There are some players who actually do read the rules, and want to be informed when it's updated without having to visit the website first to check if it did or not.
Guest
You need to have a tick all the boxes for the rules to ensure they're kind of read. As compared to the tick to confirm at the bottom. So every rule should have a tick box
