Fishing for likes

Guest

Question

You can see some people who fish for likes by writing a lot of status updates looking for likes or just by getting friends to upvote their posts. Or writing a message on a friend's  wall like good morning to get a like instead of using private messages. It does happen. There is also a lot of useless posting to get post counts up.

When recruiting team members does this get taken into account or is total reputation and post count taken into account? And with those with many posts how do you get through checking for useful posts?

Also why not have 2 reputation systems, one for status posts and one for forum posts?

Yes, it is taken into account, we search for the useful posts until we find enough of them, however if it turns out that the user has farmed his way to meet the requirements, his app. is  treated as invalid and he may lose his post/rep count (keep in mind that user's behaviour and skills are more important than the reps and age)

About the 2 reputation systems: I am not sure if IPBoard supports that
