Sound mods

Are we going to ever see any sounds mods for ats? Out of anything in the game the default truck sounds are very poor. And I would love to have some sound mods for multiplayer to enjoy the sounds of the turbo and Jake brake down the steep hills.

cant the sounds just be client side? I dont see why everything has to be server side. Did they not look into Client side things with the dev of the Multiplayer?

The issue with allowing some things client side is that we lack control. How will we allow only mods that won't interfere with the MP, or ruin other players experiences? There are few, if any, viable solutions we can implement and maintain right now.

 

When it comes to server load, that's more about if we create a platform where you download the files from our servers (one solution to the client side mods issue), that would massively increase the load to our servers, because you would need to download it from our platform.

Maybe it's something we can consider in the future, but it's something we don't have the resources to do now.
