FPS Drop

killafragzilla

Question

Hello everyone,

I keep getting tremendous frame drop throughout my game. One minute it would shoot from 100 to 10fps. It's really inconsistent and very frustrating.

Here's what I'm rocking:

Graphics: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

CPU: Intel Core i7 7700K 4.2GHz

RAM: 16GB DDR4 3000MHz

Has anyone else had a problem with the FPS drop? Anyone got a solution for my problem?

I'm sorry to hear your FPS are dropping suddenly. About what areas of the map are you traveling when it drops? Are you in a high populated area? Are you driving down the highway and suddenly only getting 10FPS causing your game to freeze/rubber band?

Even with your graphics I would suggest to maybe turn off "Load cabin accessories" and also "Load Flags" I know it might not be much but depending where I drive I gain an extra 10-15 frames when I turn these off.

To avoiding hard Drops, you have to change a few Settings in the Ingame Options, the TruckersMP Options and the Driver Options.

Depending Killafragzilla´s  Hardware i suggest the following Settings:

Ingame:

- Enable Vsync   It is always better to having a Stable FPS Rate around 60 than often a Jumping between 180 till 45 or lower.

- Set Scale to 400%

- Disable MLAA

- Disable DOF

- Set all following Quality Settings to max.

- Disable Anisotropic Filtering by moving the Slider to the left Side.

TruckersMP:

Follow Baldemar Deutsch´s Guide to open the MP Settings. By the Way, Baldemar have to make new Screenshots, this Ones are outdated! ;)

Depending on your Internet Connection and your PC Spec´s, the following Setting Increasing or Decreasing the Graphic Performance and your own Lags or your Lagging to other User.

- Development Logging

- Smoothing Distance

- Load Cabin Accessoires

- Load Flags

- Aditional Lights

- Draw Distance

At last, my Driversettings for ETS2 and ATS. You can use the Same Settings when you having a Radeon Card:

FPS will drop dramaticlly if you are close or passing a really busy area, once you have crossed the area you will be fine, should it continue, drop your settings down a little.

I have been having the same issue and rock a set up similar to yours. I do not believe that it is our computers that is causing the issue but what did help me stay more consistent was disabling other drivers flags and cabin accessories. You don't see those anyway.
