lag problems

i got a problem with ets2 4 days ago i whas playing the game with no lag but when i started ets2 today it whas lagging plz help me

This could depend on the time of day, the server ping especially on the EU2 server can be a little hit and miss at peak times, if you struggle with internet speed anyway I would suggest avoiding these peak times if you can.

1. Right click ETS 2 in steam

2. Select 'Launch with OpenGL'

3. Let the game run and try going into game.

4. Exit the game and go back to steam, right click ETS 2 again but this time select 'Launch with DirectX (64-Bit)

5. Again go into game and then exit.

6. Start TruckersMP up and see if your FPS has increased back to normal levels.

Hello @creeperboy2k.

 

- Have you checked that the problem is not from your internet provider?
- Do you connect to the server with the location closest to your zone?
- Do you get frozen the game? or does he just hung himself for a moment?
- Does it affect fps too?

- Does it happen in popular places or on the whole map?

Hello.

Sometimes i have the same problems but...

• Start your ETS2 for the first time in the Singleplayer and wait for few minutes
• Sometimes have everybody in the server lags because the server is overwhelmed
• let respawn you at not so high traffic areas
• before you drive wait few seconds until you see all other trucks

You can also try disabling other drivers flags and cabin accessories. You can't even see those anyway and for every one truck your game has to load it can sometimes have to load a dozen accessories. Multiply that by 1000 people and you've got a ton of lag.
