No Visuals and a frozen mouse...

iBigSam

Question

So ive downloaded truckersmp. I can hear the truck sound fx when it loads up, but i cant see any visuals. Then when the launchpad loads it shows my profile with a black background. I can't move my mouse ( unless I plug my XB1 controller in ). Then it signs me in to the menu but the my mouse is froze in thew top left corner.

I've tried changing the config line to di8.mouse or w/e it is. I've tried reinstalling truckers mp and ETS2. Anyone got any ideas?

Okay,

you can try this also,

1. Right click ETS 2 in steam

2. Select 'Launch with OpenGL'

3. Let the game run and try going into game.

4. Exit the game and go back to steam, right click ETS 2 again but this time select 'Launch with DirectX (64-Bit)

5. Again go into game and then exit.

6. Start TruckersMP up and see if it's fixed.

Additionally you can try re-installing following this guide

1.      Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard

2.      Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)

3.      Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.

4.      Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"

5.      Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privilegeshttps://truckersmp.com/download/

How long did you stay stuck in that position? did you exit the game relatively quickly after experiencing it? The thing with ETS2 for TruckersMP is there is always A LOT going on in the game. Usually there is over 1000 people playing it all at one time. That being said the first time you load the game or teleport to a garage or something of the sort your game will freeze for a moment. Depending on the type of computer you use you may experience a longer period of the computer being frozen but yet the computer itself is not frozen. That is why you can hear the game but nothing is happening on screen. Trying waiting it out. See if the game comes to after a few minutes or so.
