Suggestion Description: Basically, maybe some modding to add one or two more purchasable cars or maybe even a pickup truck to drive around? Mostly to add alittle more character to the local traffics. Also, I don't know if the devs are trying to figure it out at all....but maybe adjust the cars to be alot more fuel efficient. I found a mod on the workshop I'm going to test this for, it adds a Range Rover and a Skoda Superb. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=688326286

Why should it be added?: Well for one, the current cars used ingame, yeah are nice. But despite their weird handling, my biggest complaint is the fuel consumption.

I'll be adding abit more later with any questions or opinions others might have.

+1. TruckersMP can work on adding a few different versions of cars in, while SCS will work on adding trucks. I would love to see a couple more cars to choose to drive. :)

-1 ETS2 and ATS are called so for a reason, they are TRUCKING simulators, not vehicle simulators, bare in mind that the scout that we have currently was originally designed for admins only, it wasn't going to be available to the general public, but ended up being given the all clear to do so, even so, it took over a year to code and create the car for use in multiplayer, do seeing more vehicles is super unlikely.

Also, as others have said, this has been asked literally 1000s of times and the same answers have been given each time.

as for fuel economy, actually, the scouts fuel mileage is pretty accurate to fuel mileages irl, bare in mind that the scaling for ATS and ets2 is so many miles for every real mile or whatever the conversion is, irl you might be able to squeeze 800-1000mi on one tank if you hyper mile, that's roughly how far you can go in game, it's spot on realistic, it's just that miles tick by much faster in game so 800miles go by super quick.

I would close the thread if I could. Once more for those suggesting the search, I did do a few searches, probably putting in the wrong keywords, but I was coming up fruitless.

You guys make a fairly good point, however another reason to ask for more efficiency with the cars is so they're not stopping the convoy more than necessary to fill up. As they might be used for larger convoys as they might be purposed for. Should make the scouts hybrid or electric cars lol.

If an admin could, please close the thread. I believe the necessary opinions have been given. As much as I would like to see at least one other escort vehicle. It isn't truly necessary.

Like I said, these games are simulators, the fuel distance is real world, it's just that the game world scale is 20+x smaller than real world, so a drive time of 20 minutes could equal 400 miles which uses up a lot of the scouts fuel tank, compared to a truck, its tank is only about a fifth the size.

Besides, if you don't go full throttle everywhere and drive economically, you can make the scouts drive for almost double their normal mileage.

Something similar has already been suggested, however, since you are referring to a slightly different change, I have to tell you that TruckersMP is not going to add any third party mods anytime soon because it would require an additional download, thus making the total file size bigger which leads to longer download times. In addition, those modifications always need to be supported by the latest version of the game which cannot be taken for granted when using external mods that have not been created by TruckersMP. Unfortunately, the developer of the cars left the TruckersMP Team and is not staff anymore, hence why changing anything about the car is very unlikely.

Rejected.
