ets2 mp keeps crashing

Jordzzz199

Question

Hi,

Just wondering if someone could help me please when I go to play ETS2 MP I can sign on to MP not a problem but when I get to the loading screen about my profile it just crashes for about 20 mins and then it will connect to MP and connection has been refused.

Steps I've done to try and solve this: deleted my eurotruck2 profile, uninstalled the game, verified the game on steam.

ETS works perfectly fine on SP and I can play ATS on MP fine just not ETS2

Try it on another profile , or just try  deleting all the documents folder and getting all from start .. Just to see if the problem is in defs or in documents created by game or in game itself..

Yea I agree with Costel. I would make a new profile and see if that loads just fine. If it does then there is a problem with the profile you are currently using. One thing I am curious about is what town are you currently sitting in in ETS2? is it a usually overpopulated city in the middle of the day when over 3000 people are playing? If so try logging into single player and teleporting to a less populated city. The problem could be that your computer is having a little trouble loading both the game and a few hundred players and their trucks all at one time.

Try re-installing your graphics drivers, http://www.geforce.co.uk/drivers / http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

Try the .NET repair tool

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30135

Try

1. Right click ETS 2 in steam

2. Select 'Launch with OpenGL'

3. Let the game run and try going into game.

4. Exit the game and go back to steam, right click ETS 2 again but this time select 'Launch with DirectX (64-Bit)

5. Again go into game and then exit.

6. Start TruckersMP

Also,

Try to run a sfc /scannow command in DOS then restart your computer and try again. https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-use-sfc-scannow-to-repair-windows-system-files-2626161

Good Luck!

Re- installed graphic drivers and still hasn't resolved issue.

Followed the other steps and it launched the with OpenGL worked perfect but when  I went to launch the game with DirectX (64-Bit) boom it crashed.

Done the sfc /scannow and that came back: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

The city that my truck is in is at Newcastle which isn't busy.

Try turning your anti-virus off or any other application running in the background such as MSI Afterburner or Rivatuner, if you are using Windows 10 some programs can cause compatibility issues.

I asked someone on my steam if they knew and they look control of my computer and straight away found the problem It was logit telemetry files that cause it. So they've deleted the plugin files and MP is back up and running again.

Would just like to say thank you to the above people for your help :)!!!
