Crashing ETS2

Ambify

Question

Hey. I took a job as usual and when I came to a ferry my game froze when clicking the travel button (or whatever its called) When I pressed CTRL+ALT+DEL and open my task manager my mouse cursor didn't show. So I had to restart my PC. I tried it again just to be sure it wasn't my computer and it still froze my game(computer). I've tried it in singleplayer and there it all works. Then I gave up and tried to end the job, but when I hit yes, it stood "waiting for another person to get the job", but it froze after that. Restarting it again and tried again and it still froze.

Please help.

1. Run the program as an administrator (right click the shortcut and select 'run as an administrator' and accept the UAC prompt.

2. Install these two programs

.NET Framework 4.6.2

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53344

VisualC++ 2015

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

As a last option, delete the ETS2MP folder from documents and follow the guide below,

Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard

Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)

Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.

Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"

Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges

https://truckersmp.com/download/

Also, verify the ETS 2 game files.

good luck!

@Ambify

-Can you upload your crash.log ? The developers can help you with that.

-Make sure your display card is in the latest release.
-TruckersMP Launcher and ETS 2 delete it entirely and try to reload it.

-You can create a ticket: https://support.truckersmp.com/

Your game actually did not freeze. What it was trying to do was load the game. Sometimes the game can get overloaded with not only the textures of the game but also whoever may be in the area at the time. There was probably a good chance that quite a few people were located at the destination of the ferry. The next time this happens I recommend to patiently wait. It may feel like forever but don't worry, your game will inevitably load.

It's a normal bug on low end pcs and the drivers couldn't handle it.

Solutions:

If the solutions above didn't work then try to verify the game cache files

Create a new profile.

Delete the config file on your ETS 2 Documents directory (This usually happens when you're profile is oudated)

or just wait for it to finish loading as it is not synch with truckersmp.
