From what i saw in the video he presses Launch ETS2 and it does nothing. Tell him while he has the launcher open to press F1 and re-download the multiplayer files. Also tell him to disable UAC (User Acount Control) just in case it blocks the launcher with Steam.

 

I have also made a guide for various problems if you guys wanna try. 

 


Edit: What does the notification say at 1:17 when Steam pops-up?

 

Edit x2: From 1:30 and after i see ETS2 icon on the taskbar. Are you sure he is freezing? I think the game is running minimized.

Hi,

 

Please first tell your friend to run the executable as an administrator.

 

Secondly, if he is still having the same problem tell him to try the instructions on this page, https://kb.wisc.edu/page.php?id=6653

 

Type these in a command prompt window, pressing enter after each one.

 

netsh int ip reset reset.txt

netsh winsock reset

netsh advfirewall reset

He need's to extra the executable somewhere like the desktop and then run it as an administrator. 

 

Try these two things if the above doesn't work. 

 

  • - Run TruckersMP in compatibility mode for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008, please follow this guide http://pearsonsupport.helpserve.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/210/21/how-to-install-or-run-a-program-in-compatibility-mode-in-windows-7
  • - Install these two programs

How long did it freeze for?

Try to run as adminstrator

Or he could try "verify the integrity of the game cache" on steam, if that doesn't work, uninstall ets 2 from steam and delete multiplayer and install everything again but I guess your friend already tried this.

Maybe other users downloaded it at the same time so it takes a little longer for him, maybe that cause the freeze? Try again later

He run it as Administrator but problem not solved...

His network haven't problem.. Just can't download MP mod.

Freez for always .. And so he need close Launcher and again open.. 

Already opened as adminstrator.

He changed pc,  so installed steam and downloaded ets2 again.

Hi  ,  his problem is not network, and he network working correctly.
