Hello. First off, sorry if this has been addressed in some obscure corner of the net, but I've searched for three days now, tried a number of things that I figured might work, and haven't come up with anything. In that time I've also had a support ticket in that hasn't been responded to.
So, basically, it's what the title says - I double click the launcher, and I get a nice little window that says "Cannot validate game version. Would you like to try again?" I've tried: -Reinstalling ETS2MP multiple times (without mods) -Ensuring my steam profile is public (save for comment permissions).
-Choosing a beta test version [temporary_1_15_01] in my ETS2 settings instead of running 1.15.1 (didn't do a thing).
-Choosing the 1.5 public beta in my ETS2 settings (again did absolutely nothing)
-Running ETS2MP.exe with administrator permissions
-Running ETS2MP.exe in WinXP compatibility mode
-Spam clicking yes on the error window (was worth a shot!)
Steam is running and ETS2 runs without issue. Personally I think it might be an error in the account registration vs my steam profile since it took a few tries to get that going so I could download in the first place, but I haven't a clue how to fix that aside from the support ticket I submitted.
