Zebulink{aus} Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) Suggestion Name: Notice of rule change on splash screenSuggestion Description: Addition of a notice when rules are updated or changed on the TMP loader, so that people are aware that rules have changedAny example images: http://imgur.com/a/WudDfWhy should it be added?: To notify players that a rule change has occurred. Lots of players don't bother to read the forums, and will only read the rules when they initially sign up. Players that are then banned claim ignorance, or that the Admin are flexing their powers when the rules are changed, without even knowing that the rules changed. Adding a small text box to the launcher (if the launcher has its own updater) to notify of rule changes would help curb the issue of not knowing the rules, then the rule breaks will reflect back on the player not even looking at the launcher. EDIT: An additional option to this is to have a notice on the launcher to be aware of the rules, and that they may change without notice, with a link to the website / rules page. Also Edited the last line of why, so it makes more sense. Edited January 15, 2017 by Zebulink{aus} 4
Jacrispyxd Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 +1 Really like this idea to notify new players!
mattfleaydaly Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 What use to happen as we all know what that you'd have to agree to the rules each time you logged in to download a new update. +1 for an additional system for this considering we now use the launcher. MISLcz Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 Good idea, I didn't know about the update, since I am going just to forums and launcher mostly. 310hp Iveco + 125t trailer = Loads of fun ))))
Leff12345 Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 Great for people who are not very often on the forums and mainly plays on the game servers, I like it.
Mirrland Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 Good idea. I have to say that since the new beacons rule was introduced, I have been seeing a lot of people of whom still have their beacons on in overpopulated areas. Maybe they had no idea that there was a rule change in the first place? +1 1 TruckersMP - Staff Team Member - Twitter | Steam | Facebook | YouTube | Discord -
mcglynn14 Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 great idea because some people don't go on to the website and forums that much
mutlob Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 Definite +1 and would be very easy to implement.
JeKnYan Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 +1, great idea, will actually make players go read the rules, the "launch" option should be greyed out until they have read and agreed to the rules. 1 If my post helped, don't hesitate to click that green up arrow!
tfmpillow Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 +1 I really like this idea. Some players who are new to the mod maybe haven't even read the rules, via this way they also get sort of a message that there are actually rules. You mean quickly scrolling down to the end (without reading nor understanding anything) to activate the launch button?
Aestrial Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 This is a great suggestion. Great for people who don't/ rarely use the forum and website, and keeps users up to date with the changes. Guest Posted April 30, 2018 Report Posted April 30, 2018 Nowadays, people are forced to agree with the rules when they have been updated, hence why there is no excuse they did not know of them. Done.
