Connection Error

So ever since last night, I've been getting the same exact error, I've tried reinstalling the game, I've tried restarting my computer, and nothing seems to work.

same problem. latest net framework installed... i think you guys have screwed up a bit here. also tried running as admin...

i think i found the problem.... for some reaso my ets2 was not fully shut down... i needed to close it via task manager... after that... it seems to run

I've uninstalled ETS2 and ATS2, uninstalled and deleted all shortcuts related to ETS2MP or ATSMP (or TruckersMP), I clearly have the .NET framework installed according to Microsoft (I followed a link on these forums). 

No process is running (e.g. ETS2) that I can see.

not sure... check task manager details tab... i got to the point where it wants ets2 1.26.3 something... i guess its the beta...

k. it worked... first if you cant find ets 2 or ats in your task manager... restart your computer... that should shut them down... after that open steam and set it to 1.26 beta not 1.26.x... after that it should run... at least mine now works

Thanks for trying but none of this has helped - I guess I'll have to write a support ticket and see what they suggest. I'll report back with the solution.

 Yes, I have still this issue. I've tried various methods and none was working:
-reinstalig steam, ets 2, launcher
-launching without saves and my old profiles
-disabling firewall
-instaling all .net framework libraries
-turning off all proceses connected with ETS 2
-actualisation and updating windows 8.1, steam and ETS 2 
-turn on in administrator mode
-restarting pc various times after any change or reinstaling

I can see there's mention of a new update this morning, but I can't find out where to download the latest launcher file (I'm presuming I have to as the error appears straight away when I open it and doesn't allow me to progress to the updater).

The launcher file I'm downloading from the 'Download' page appears to be the same one I've downloaded before, which unfortunately gives me the same results.
